Maybe throw Khan in there if he ever gets to fight Mayweather. We are probably one of a few clubs in the division a buyer could make money on, given our infrastructure and IF we gain promotion in the next few years. Khan and Patak dream team?
May 6, 201511 yr During the eighties the mother in law worked in the Burnden Executive suite on the catering .One home game they ran out of bread for the sandwiches so Sir Nat who was running the show at the time sent a young lass up to the Normid to get some loaves this she did & it was chocks away on the butty making .As they were all beavering away in the kitchen one of the Warburton wives happened to pass by the kitchen door & immediately summoned Sir Nat for an explanation as to why the sandwich makers were using RATHBONES bread.Nat was diplomatic but explained that Warburtons wouldn't deliver on match days so he had improvised.After that Warbies did deliver every home game but not one sandwich that day wad eaten by the assembled Warburtons I know that because my kids had enough butties for their school dinners all week as the kichen staff were told to take them home & distribute them according.

Like Eddie but younger and with fresh impetus and perhaps a little loosening of the purse strings here and there. Or from some mentalist billionaire who wants to take a championship club with good infrastructure up and win something with them. People who want to make money out of the club could and probably would be disastrous. You have to be elite rich to properly support a football club financially nowadays.

First time in ages buying a club could be profitable, providing you make the promised land. Lots of teams turning profit in the prem atm and will only go up with the new deal. I'd go as far too say that bwfc is a prime club to buy with our land potential and infrastructure all completed.

You have to be able to get up and stay up a while to turn a profit. Which needs investment. And historically all increased TV deals have eventually led to player wage inflation and not increased profits as far as I know. And I don't see any different to that happening in the medium term. You could go up and spend nothing and turn a profit I guess, but that wouldn't be seen as a good thing I don't think.

May 7, 201511 yr Burnley scraped promotion with a reasonable Championship squad. Went up and didn't spend big and made a good profit. Came down with money and improved their squad to decent Championship standard and went up again. They'll make good profit again this time and come down. Chances are they'll improve again next season and stand a good chance of going back up : the club is run pretty well IMO. Once back up, they'll be as well equipped to stay up as we were the last time we went up and they'll not have any debt.

Mike Ashley at Newcastle made a stack of money last year, for example. Blackpool did OK, too! Well, the owners did.
