I'm happy with quite a bit. I love Lennon he's doing well with what he's got to work with, and in general the fans who are attending are supportive, there seems a collective team spirit for the first time for a while but let's not get carried away were 1 place out of the relegation zone.

Good point overall. We need to defend better when teams break because they were happy to sit deep and counter and that's where they were most dangerous.

 

Clayton was very impressive playing in the hole . Hes a different type of player to clough, but his directness suited us better. He found space in the first half and he was willing to run at their back four, which opened things up.

 

Pisano grafted but still doesn't look match fit, and his crossing was suspect. Hopefully he will improve with game time.

Thought Brighton brought our draw on themselves. They looked comfortable at 1-2 before the sending off but went increasingly negative in the second half. We looked good in the first half and got done badly on the break. We do miss a holding midfield player but at the same time I quite like the 4-4-2 for the attacking options it gives us. I'm not a Danns hater, he played well yesterday. I just think Pratley might be a slightly better option in our current formation. Don't want Mavies pushed further forward - he takes the ball of the back four and makes us play.

 

Was very impressed with Max Clayton. Wheater looked knackered and slow but performed reasonably well despite that.

 

Feeney is a standard Championship winger, which means he isn't Arjen Robben or anything close. We just need to give the lad support. He's clearly a willing worker and he gets it right often enough in a game to create chances.
