The quote was he wanted it exclusively for the US. Regardless, when someone produces a vaccine there will be international coordination to make it as cheap as possible. Buying the scientists out to make a vaccine for one country whilst hundreds of thousands of people die elsewhere is abysmal.

The scientists were developing it to be sold around the world. Trump wants exclusivity.

In other matters, the EU have announced measures that will prevent the exporting of protective equipment.

Not really. If Obama would have done what Donald has suggested today there would have been a 10 page thread. It’s beyond immoral, but he’s a business man, that’s the way he’s wired, hes missing  that humanitarian fibre to make a great president. When it comes to the economy he has it nailed, but a President needs more than that.

This Vaccine when it comes isn’t for sale exclusively to one country over others but it is understandable in America with their current healthcare situation.

It’s not a case of defence, I was asking which one of you was right, you’re making out as you’re right and ginge is wrong which is fair enough. 
 

Could you post a link where Trump says he wants it exclusively for the US. You would think with his business past that would be the last thing he wanted as he would stand to make billions.

Do you or anyone on here honestly think he or whoever was representing him have approached the company and said  we want to make this exclusively for America? Would that be the best way of getting business from a non American company?

Am I missing something here? If there was a finite number of vaccinations and I had the chance to acquire them for my country I would simple as that

That's what was being reported from what I read. And the Germans turned him down on account that any vaccine would be 'for the whole world'
