Packing In The Wanderers

now, i know theres some fickle fcukers who dip in and out, but i guess most on here are in for the long haul

have you ever thought about packing it in for good

i did, it was mid 80s and we were at home to leicester we hadn't won for about 6 seasons and i had a better offer

it couldve been 20 year old blonde twins but actually, it was radcliffe borough away at caernarvon in a table topping clash

so, the choice was made, wanderers were shite and i was going on a european tour

i missed the supporters bus to welsh wales, kept walking and was in the king bill for dinner

never seriously considered fooking it off since, though qpr this season pushed my buttons

i've always lived near the ground so not been challenged in the way satan, for example, is, so i've had it easy i guess

ps, we won

About 4 million but it's irrelevant

When you and others scoff at 4 million you forget Bournemouth are setting up a 16 million deal for the summer

I scoff at 4 million because the vulchers are circling and won't pay a penny more than they have to.

Who was green genie said left Plymouth for £10k when they were in the shit? Bolasie?

We are desperate and other clubs know it.

If it's 750 k there will be plenty of interested parties.

If it's 750 k there will be plenty of interested parties.

If it's 750k there'll be division 1 teams interested!!

750k, don't make me bloody laugh!

It's that sort of backwards thinking & business acumen that's put us in this mess in the first place.

Aye

Even though we're in strife people are overlooking the money prem teams can now spend

I think people are vastly overestimating the potential price for a player who can't string together a dozen games without getting injured. Personally think we'll do very well in getting £1m up front; the value will be in add-on's and a sell on clause.

Anyway, to take it a bit nearer to the original topic, I'm not packing in if he does go, even though I agree the social side is a very large aspect of what keeps me going to home games.

That said, I gave up my season ticket when starting my second year at college in 2004 and only did a couple of games the following season, having had a season ticket for every year at the Reebok prior to that. I then seemed to go alternate years where I'd go to 2-3 games one year and then 15-20 the following year. The latter tended to coincide with the European seasons; as my Saturday's were taken up either by work or being involved at Leigh RMI, it made things much easier that we played a lot of Sunday games.

Leigh went bump ahead of our last Prem season and I did about 10 games - the following season I did nearly 30 games so ended up being a season ticket the following year and stuck with it ever since. Even met my other half through BWFC so match days are a big social thing for us and are likely to remain that way for a long while yet.

It's me team.

Packing in is not an option.

For anyone.

This

Once it's in your soul I don't think it ever leaves you. People's circumstances may change, but once a fan, always a fan. Otherwise you're just playing at it - one of those people who 'just likes to see a good game of football'. We all like to see that, but we don't expect it, and in fact in recent years we've hardly ever seen it. But something deep within keeps drawing us back. It's what we do. It's who we are. BTID.

if he is given away for 750k. yes.

Hahaha and you say I talk shit.

Are folk forgetting who actually said £750k?

Merry Christmas, G.xxx

And a Merry Christmas to you. ????

I wasn't born a Bolton fan.

It's not been thrust upon me.

I have had many opportunities to walk away for various reasons...

The euphoria that came with a pitch invasion 22.5 years ago has been like a drug; a high I've experienced a couple of times since... Different formula, but same dragon.

And I'll keep chasing it bitch
