Is it a power to the people uprising? So far the plan is to oppose grammar schools, build a load of social housing, abolish tuition fees for university students and bring back maintenance grants, abolish zero hours contracts, renationalise the railways, bring social care into a publicly run NHS and repeal the trade union act.

That's all what you might consider proper 'Labour stuff' isn't it? The kind of stuff your Dad might agree with?

I wouldn't disagree with some of those aims, but its how its achieved without financially ruining the country. NHS is suffering because there's too much demand; continuing with large immigrant numbers won't help together with a housing shortage.

Grants for students- yes on merit. But not with every tom dick and harry doing getting a degree and then working at tesco.

And he'd frighten me with his interests in national security.

They are also promising to ban fracking.

Bold.

"Labour under Corbyn is not electable"

Can only assume that these clowns have concluded that generations who remember the heady days of mind numbing 'socialist' (read communist) dogma extolling the virtues of nationalised industries providing jobs for all (but operating at a loss) have passed away and they can now peddle it to a new wave of gullible young uns who seem to make up the likes of Momentum.

So out of touch with reality I find myself slightly feeling sorry for these new arrivals, They only have to open their eyes and look at what has happened to the various socialist utopia's around the world but it's surprising what a few red tee shirts with slick slogans and a couple of 'nice old gentlemen' with very sinister motives can achieve.

The shit will hit the fan very shortly once this conference is over. Should make for interesting viewing as it tears itself apart.

Does socialism miss a generation and then people forget how much of a fuck up it is, jump on the bandwagon thinking it's the route to utopia, and then let the next generation pay for its alright social fuck up?

I'm in the Czech Republic at the moment. I first came in 97, just 8 years after the 'Velvet Revolution' I've spoken to many Czechs since then about their time living in the Socialist Republic that was imposed on them by the Russians.

There was a phrase that they used and it's been repeated to me many times.

"We pretended to work and they (the Russians) pretended to pay us"

Pretty much sums up Socialism.

I've been reading up on momentum today. They really are a horrible bunch.

What have you learned?

What have you learned?

please read my second sentence.

I was hoping you'd elaborate but never mind.

Might as well ask a million turkeys if they like Christmas. Of course large portion of society will think it's great when someone else is paying for it.

Quite interesting in that the younger generations who not long ago still believed in the tooth fairy reckon it's good but the older generations who realise shit needs paying for and the tooth fairy definitely doesn't exist, realise it's bollocks.

At a time where we are trying to be more competitive with the world in a more open market, these fucking halfwits reckon huge wage inflation is a great idea. They're fucking deluded!!

Ok then. Death threats, anti Semitism, bullying, Trotskyite attitudes, infiltration of universities. Watson called them a bit of a rabble. I think he was being kind. They're a dangerous bunch of adolescents.

Maybe a bit of inflation for the common man and a bit less inflation for the top decile would be good?

The trots at the IMF and commies at the world bank seem to think so anyway.

It's people under 40 - they can't all be fucking halfwits. And it's at least 25 years since I learned out the tooth fairy wasn't real! :-)

and not only that, Milne prevents senior MPs from meeting JC.

I don't know a great deal about them. I'd be interested to have a read of the things you've been looking at today. It sounds a bit over the top mind.

Sky news covered their meeting in Liverpool on Saturday morning in the couple of hours up to the announcement of the result. They looked like a bunch of losers. From what I could see they were made up of older SWP types, students, some over excited middle aged house wives, geeky spotty lads and a few lezzers. They call themselves ordinary people which was the biggest joke. They thought their new red T shirts exclaiming Jezza as their saviour and hero were ace. Not much different than this scruffy lot but more students.

Over the top? I suggest you have a read then. Politics students on steroids.

I might go down to one of their meetings in Bolton and report back. See if anybody chants 'death to Israel' and threatens to kill me for wearing adidas trainers :-)

They live amongst us in this area? That is worrying! :(
