Everton U23 Match Thread

I didn`t count them but I reckon about 100 scousers must have been well camouflaged. As for the match nothing to enthuse about aside from we didn`t pick up any injuries.

Well done to everyone staying away. Shove your shit trophy

  • Good. The idiots who thought this up really need shooting. There was nothing wrong with the previous 'League Cup' type of competition for third/fourth tier clubs. We had some good times back in the ol

  • won the league play off, tonight

This is an embarrassing defeat, and shows how far the club have dropped.

Need to get out of this league.

Your attempts at fishing are getting worse.

True though, was pretty much our 2nd choice u21 and some u18 lads

I can't believe anyone at the club or supporters of the club are remotely worried about getting beat by Everton's kids. As far as I'm concerned, it was a perfect result especially if we follow it up with another defeat and exit the cup asap

As parky said it was a big day for many of your kids.

Wonder how many had to get permission to have their tags removed so they could play.

Our first teamers would be aware of the bigger picture and far too professional to get embroiled in such meaningless nonsense.

Fwiw I feel the competition is an unnecessary complication even without the kids teams in it.

Thats true, that was the biggest game half of them have ever played, so will mean much  more than the other team.

A bit like when your team get to play our first team........

That could be earlier than many would think. This new owner; an Iranian I understand. If Yemen's civil war (proxy between Saudi Arabia and Iran ) kicks off large, and both are heavily invloved in strife generally too, then who knows what will be required of wealthy citizens. That could have implications for their investments....

Yeah nice try, he is British-Iranian, educated in England etc.

Gareth Ainsworth brought himself on at Wycombe, he's 43 and not played for 3 years. Top bombing.

Many are.

Look at the bin Ladens

Moshi got his money from Usmanov & Russia.....which is even dodgier!!!!

His actual wealth is supposed to be double the reported, so who knows, or even cares tbh.

I'm struggling to get my head around 93 Cheltenham fans making the trip to Blackpool

That's some effort considering the circumstances

bank holiday weekend in blackpool  what else

And set up one of their goals.

Summed it up football wise. Was hoping Chris Taylor would show sumert to make him look a worthwhile signing but no. Early days though. That Walsh at centre mid for them was a very tidy footballer, he's got half a chance.

Liam Walsh, loaned to Yeovil last season and was superb, probably a League 1 or Champ loan is next for him.

Liam Walsh is actually now linked with Bolton on loan.

That first goal is a lovely strike

From the brief highlights the pace of the game does look a bit friendly

Meh
