Not a chance a human would have reacted, braked and swerved in that emount of time. Expecially as the pedestrian walked out from the shadows.

 

That said - you'd have thought a viable system would have still have been able to detect and avoid the person crossing the street.

Agreed in that I doubt a human would have fared better.

 

The lidar and radar sensors (googled my own question) should have seen her

The family of the deceased homeless woman have reached a compensation settlement with Uber.

 

The couldnt give 2 shits about her while she was alive but once shes been knocked down they're now the grieving relatives.  Boils my piss.
