Tax savings though were massive.

I've not spoke to him yet but my he told my old man it will pay itself off in 4 or 5 years due to various savings (tax, fuel etc)

Aye, about 300 miles on a full charge is no use to me at all.

They do look cool though. I'm sure given another couple of years there will be a load of decent electric cars available

Waiting list on Tesla's another issue. My brother thinking of getting but 12 months wait putting him off

All these electric car guys thinking they are saving the world when they are getting the juice from the national grid - produced from burning gas or by products of crude oil

Not this. At one time maybe but renewables are getting better and better so it won't be long before we all have electric cars of some persuasion. Just needs battery technology to improve.

In our lifetimes Bolivia (lithium) will be the new Saudi Arabia mmw, get your investments in now.

National grid is a combination of things but a portion is from burning waste

Just like back to the future.. a car powered on waste

I need my dyson animal to last more than 15 minutes.

Used to imagine pretty much this but for pedestrians. A succession of progressively faster belts. Step on the first at say five mph. Then to ten and so on. Only ever stepping up five but end up rapid.

I'm befuddled why they don't use the same type of lithium-ion battery employed in the F5000  -  I can easily get a could 45 minute session out of it, even when I select "beast mode" and use the hammer action

Inside the car as a passenger or outside the car as a pedestrian?

Inside the car as a passenger or outside the car as a pedestrian?

Neither! Unless she was pushing her bike.

All for these self driving cars

Much safer than having flat dicks behind a wheel

Spent the day with one of my reps last week in his VW

He pressed the park assist button or whatever it's called

Frigging thing parked itself. Blew my mind. Never seen it before

Why am I not surprised? Self driving cars. What could possibly go wrong?

Does this mean drinks after work is a thing again?

Aye

No need for taxi’s, your car can just pick you up

Something daft like 99% of accidents are down to human error. Be a much smoother system if we are all in driverless cars

Read the news article, reads that she just stepped out in front of it..

The idea if great, the reality is that your 10 year old family affordable self driving car will be riddled with issues...

Also the car was doing 38 in a 35 zone.. she stepped out of a shadow straight infront of the car

I hope Uber are being sued for zillions
