March 3, 20233 yr I've been really liking this singer, but her latest single is just Today by the smashing pumkins and where is my mind by Pixies. I suppose if you're going to steal...but it made me chuckle that her audience in the main think her ripping off these is like Oasis ripping of T Rex for us. plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose
March 3, 20233 yr Did The Black Angels last night at New Century House "New" venue Decent Like a modern Academy Venue is upstairs, downstairs is a food hall bar setup, also decent, would return for a non gig session Busy out everywhere in the NQ as well

March 3, 20233 yr also, at the new century bar there was a quiz going on, we were only there for a pint but whilst there it was the music round, so sort of joined in with table next to us 10 songs played, name the artist/song then at the end the year prince was on first, knew it was 1984, but then, they played Carless Whisper 100% for me that's George Michael, but 84 seems a bit early this lad was 100% it was Wham, but I was having none of it, little prick wasn't even born then wasn't around when they read the answers, so been having a look Spotify as you'd expect has it was GM but Wiki has it as Wham, turns out it was a Wham album Released on the 1984 Wham! album Make It Big, the single release was credited either to Wham! featuring George Michael (in North America and several other countries) or solely to George Michael (in the United Kingdom and some European countries) but it is a George Michael single, but it's not I'd have been furious had they not given me a point for GM felt like a school day that
March 3, 20233 yr This is a label I love called Speedy Wunderground. If you like post-punk/new wave it'll be for you;
March 3, 20233 yr Aside from GnR some great acts there - Weyes Blood, Young Fathers, Sundan Archives, Sparks

I do wonder if they'll play it's so easy - can't see the lyrics going down well for the Glastonbury crowd.

Don't get me wrong there are acts on there that I'd look forward to seeing but it just didn't really excite me like other initial line-ups have in the past or like the Bearded Theory announcements have this year.

I think the bigger acts are the best in a while. Would love to see Larna Del Ray live. Her and Axl are good mates, be interesting if she guests on their slot.

There's always an upside to the main stages not being packed full of things you want to see anyway I suppose. Get to spend more time in other areas and wandering about taking it all in rather than trying to get from The Park to John Peel as quickly as possible for something that you can't miss.
