Live, great

Have they got some tunes? Absolutely

Are they absurdly boring lads? Definitely

Would they make Rudys top ten bands, not a bastard chance

🙄

Nirvana sold-out when they signed to Sub-Pop...

Their third rehearsal tape was their best work.

Cobain's pronouncements and appearance on 'The Word' put them up there with the likes of Bon Jovi or Skid Row imo.

Tad were miles better, but they'd never attract the teenyboppers.

Sindrome were superior to Megadeth technically but again didn't appeal to cock-rock girls like Mustaine.

I preferred John Cage's stuff when he was Larry Tea-Chest and experimenting with a glockenspiel and old molasses drums.

😁 very good 👍

I'm losing my edge, the kids are coming up from behind....

Hang on its all gone Doors and Foo Fighters.

I think its time I went to clean the car.

Two of my favourite 80s ladies are touring next year Toyah and Hazel O'Connor, so I'm hoping to go and see them.

Bought their records at the time and got to admit, still have a bit if a crush on Hazel even now.

Before anyone starts Jimi Hendrix and Prince would fall into solo artists

Fight me

Ah most of Jimi Hendrix's best stuff was with either The Experience or The Band Of Gypsies.

I used to work with a bloke called Chris Wong who plays guitar in Toyah's band.

Impressive, one of the first records I remember buying was the Four From Toyah EP and Thunder In The Mountains.

As for Hazel, it was a copy of Eighth Day.

Ahem no Beach Boys, Alice Cooper (That was the name of the band as well as the lead singer in the early to mid 70s), The Stooges, The Velvet Underground (O.K. 25% Welsh for the first two albums), The Eagles, (Fleetwood Mac in the mid 70s were 40% Septic), New York Dolls, Blondie (Though they were 20% British at one point)...

I think its a most likely a wind up, or else he's got a pretty limited pop music knowledge of the the last 60 years.

#JobbingMusiciansLivesMatter 😂😂😂

That’s true but if I had artists and their bands e.g Prince and the revolution id have to reevaluate my list which I refuse to do

You've spent too much time on the training pitch and not holed up in your bedroom playing music for hours and hours and hours....

Spent most of my time listening to music as I've got three left feet to be honest

Anyway today's NiC listening has been Solid State Logik 1 by KLF and Orbital 2 -  very much enjoyed it whilst cleaning the car.

Orbital go into the second round where they'll play Bristol Rovers,!!!

Sad News Orbital have Just been knocked out by Jean-Michel Jarre's Oxygene in the quarter finals,!!!

Just had my confirmation through of Guns n Roses moving their dates again to next year. This is the longest I've had to wait for a Christmas present! Anyway that means with the rescheduled Pearl Jam gig in Hyde Park next year I've got one gig on one weekend, followed by one the next. Just hope The Pixes still make the line up for PJ, its the only reason I got the tickets in the first place.

Just wondering how many of the original line up are playing, because I think Axl Rose has fallen out with some of the band

This next bit dates me, use to have Appetite For Destruction on vinyl with the withdrawn 'Robot Rape' sleeve (Was later replaced with more familiar 'skull crucifix' sleeve)

It's slash Duff and Axl. Seen them twice, they are good live.

They’re good live when they actually turn up.

Axl might have let himself go physically but his voice is still spot on.

Bet the tickets are expensive, even if though it's 60% if the band playing, don't think you'd get much change out of £100
