“They had high viz jackets on!”

Anyone doing Fontaine's DC on Friday 8th October at Manchester Academy? Tickets on pre-sale now for £28.

Reckon worth a trip to see these soon in case they take off. More early Verve than Oasis but could break through.

Has to be - Saxon live at the Ritz Manchester.

Recorded on St Georges Day

Had tickets for the Friday and Saturday night gigs in May. They're now on the Wednesday and Thursday. Gna have to book them off.

Kind of music related...

Pretty darn good...

One more from me tonight...

One of the true godfathers of punk...

Another lost 'classic'

Its the first real day of heat, been outside and had lunch.... its the time of year to get this played. the Allegretto is 10 minutes of pure spring sunshine bliss.

Summer gigs in Hyde Park London have been cancelled.

Mildly concerning.

Rather go to the proms. 10 quid a ticket for a month of music if you fancy.

This was performed at the Albert Hall, so pretty darn close (Shame the music wasn't)

The amount of rubbish that gets put on there. They do a lot of hires, I've even got some pile.of shit playing there in December for a client, some sort of tacky country and western gig.

Nowt but a big hall, really.

Tickets booked for Alestorm in December booked! The kind of drunken fun sing-along gig I've been missing all lockdown.

I have a feeling I'll be fit for nowt for a good few days after this.

If you like Dave Ghrol his interview on iPlayer with Dermot O'Leary is well worth a watch

Did you know

Nirvana's first ever TV appearance was on The Word?!

Yeah, and what did Cobain say about Courtney Love before they played?

I know they are fun live, but just leave me proper cold I'm afraid.

Now we are getting out of lockdown, the album that I've listen to the most and has got me through is John Cage's Paris 1919.

Something about the 70s vibe make it feel warm and comfortable but the lyrics are wry enough about power, history and the role of the everyman to feel like it means something at this time.

A genius of an album.

Dunno, he didn't mention that
