Fucking ace that Cheese. When I went off to uni at 18 I left my younger brother at home doing his chef qualification at Bolton Tech. He got the train across to Sheffield and got massively pissed with me watching Big Country. First time he ever got truly leathered and saw a band. First time we properly bonded as grown ups. Bit deep but fuck it. Nice one pal

As an aside. That’s me down a YouTube wormhole tomorrow. Love acoustic sets by bands and I’ll start with Big Country. I know every single word to that song. RIP Stuart Adamson

Took me a while to get into these. But what a fine song this is. Hard to find anyone who cannot help but like it.

And seeing as I’m on a night on the music, and balls deep in a bottle of JD

In honour of my avatar. From the best live album ever....

And a band that truly changed music as we knew it back in the day

Gabba Gabba Hey...

It’s Alive is something else. For years I had the vinyl, the cassette, the CD. To see it is immense

HANX is good from SLF but this one is their best one imo. Love top quality live punk stuff from the 70’s and bootlegs were often the best

SLF’s best song ever. It’s all about the drums. And the best version is the Aberdeen 79 live bootleg imo. Compare the drumming in any version to that one. You won’t find better I reckon

Never heard of this before, my taste in music's pretty ancient but this is pretty darn good.
