You might not like the Daily Mail but they're right.

"Failure to control the country’s borders was a major reason why millions of people voted for Britain to leave the Brussels bloc last June."

7 years for chopping someone's head off, thats also fucking wrong, should have been locked up for life!

Was gobsmacked when I saw that. Send the cunt back to holland, why should we pay for his care.

Don't we have to under EU rules?

Freedom of movement is fucking bonkers.

Yeah probably. Hurry up brexit.

That's a special kind of a murderer. If that was in the UK you'd hope he'd be in Broadmoor till he breathed his last breath.

What could've been the circumstances to him getting out in 7 years?  And now he's our problem. Ridiculous.

It says he was a permanent dutch resident. Doesn't that mean he could be deported as he's not actually dutch. Send the fucker over to Afghanistan, don't bother stopping the plane either, just open the door and shove him out.

No. And the deal Cameron negotiated would have given us even more power to deport EU criminals. But don't let facts get in the way of a pro-Brexit argument.

Do you think there are no British people imprisoned in other EU countries? 30% of British Nationals "banged up abroad" are imprisoned within the EU. The next highest number are imprisoned in the USA.

Clearly some would prefer it if people who commit crimes on British soil were sent back to their country of origin, where we have no say in their sentence/punishment. I'd rather they were subjected to the British legal system. If a nonce got caught fucking kids in Thailand, would you rather have him sent back here than suffer the consequences in the country of his victims?

The argument for brexit means that he wouldn't have got into this country in the first place though.

I asked about deportation as I didn't know. As a member of the EU we didn't have to be told of his criminality.

Not sure, but I think a similar thing happened a little while ago about a murder of a young girl down South by a Latvian (I think, though it could have been another Baltic country)

Is this actually going to happen?

Be bloody stupid if not. Think the point is for folk outside the EU more info is required as things stand. That's why its freedom of movement.

How do non-EU criminals get here then?

I agree that he shouldn't have been able to get into the country, but to blame our membership of the EU is ridiculous. No system is flawless.

If you're a Remainer, Brexiters seem to think you live in a fantasy world where the EU is an infallible fairytale paradise. It's nothing of the sort, but it's better than being an isolated, insular country. Unless you're idea of perfection is North Korea.

Same as anyone else. Just more checks, nothings perfect but not having to declare his criminal record is an EU rule- it says so in the article. I'd say that's a big flaw in EU membership, wherever people are from, criminal record should be shared by authorities. Fuckinell you get stopped for going abroad to football matches if you've got bit of previous (understandable) but cut someone's head off!

I agree. It's bizarre. To conflate that into a reason for us to leave the EU entirely is just as mad. Like scrapping a car because the temperature sensor is a few degrees out of calibration.

No its not. Its another example of unnecessary bureaucracy to fit its ideals. Some good things have no doubt come from the EU, but if they are so fucking stupid as to allow this to happen and not change their own rules then they're not worth staying in bed with.

Cheese is pissed up and wanking off over this attention whilst his parents are at their local swingers club.

Tomorrow, they'll all feel cunts.

What do you mean "they"? We are/were PART of "they". We had as much say in what went on as any other member. Nothing has ever been forced upon the UK without us agreeing to it.

Contrary beyond irony

Even you know better

He's reet

You can't blame the E fcuking U rules when we are party to making them

If you can show where the UK wanted a change that made the law that he wants, (a requirement to notify if such a criminal is looking to travel to the UK) I'll change my mind

I'd let the cunt hang in Thailand without a moments hesitation.

There's less than 2500 British banged up abroad. 36% are drugs related. 20% for murder. Just 1% are terrorist related. 25% of them are non white.

By comparison, there are just short of 10000 foreign nationals in the UK prison system.

Almost 6000 are from outside of the EU.

Camerons "send the buggers back" negotiation was just that. A negation. Political cock waving. Nothing was agreed. What was agreed was the EU would draft a change in the law. That's fact.

I'd bet my arse it would take longer to agree a trade deal with say, erm, Canada and lo and behold within weeks the European Court of Justice rejected the UK blanket deportation of foreign criminals.

Cameron got fuck all but his arse handed to him.

Contrary beyond irony

Even you know better

I notice you don't address the point and instead resort to the tired old "contrary cunt" comment.

Are you under the impression "The EU" is a single dictator who bosses 27 countries about? I'll give you a clue. EU stands for European UNION.

Following on from that the EU needs the UK and France as a counterweight to Germany. Brexit will bugger that up.

Name a law that has been forced upon the UK, that the UK government didn't agree to...

For a start, how the fuck would "the EU" enforce that law in the UK?

I am breaking my rules of engagement with you;

“Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.”

But, have a read of a link from The Mirror, which, even you will acknowledge, is not pro-Brexit;

http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/how-many-britains-laws-really-7420612

In a follow-up blog, they admitted it was "possible to justify" any figure between 15% and 55% , and the real answer lies somewhere in between.
