Always interesting to read others views and makes me ponder why they would hold them. For example, the rabid PLO supporting leftists who want to blame the west for everything (or at least demand that the west does the donkey work in cleaning up the mess) and apparently value western lives 10 times more important than arab ones?

 

Other than the provision of oil (which the locals would never have been able to develop the technology to extract) and what it has been able to finance in such things as thoroughbred horse racing, I am struggling to see what that region has actually contributed to world advancement unless you want to point to the development of creeds/beliefs which now cause more problems in this world than anything else? Dates? Camels milk?

 

I, and I suspect most, would be perfectly happy to leave them to it as we all know they would happily spend the next few centuries trying to wipe each other out. Then who would the bleeding hearts blame for the carnage?

 

i don't want to see even one more western life taken in the name of Allah. If I am honest, what happens over there might sicken me but if that's the way they are inclined, as believers in freedom of choice, who are we to intervene? .

Problem is there are other folk from other religions being slaughtered by muslims I would hope we could protect these people from the murderous scum I would happily take as many of these folk as possible instead of the Islamic migrants that are currently swamping Europe.

Turkey is being paid by Europe to hold Syrians there to stop them travelling to Europe, it's very sad the killings in Turkey but the alternative would be to let these people travel to Europe and then have the blood bath our doorstep. I'm not getting the connection that if your in favour of attempting to stop migrants entering Europe that your somehow a racist.

Wasn't there an Islamic golden age? This led to the European enlightenment and has given us an understanding of navigation, algebra, disease to name a few things. Zero problem with migrants who can assimilate and contribute. West Indian and Indian migrants in particular have brought rich traditions and culture to the UK which have been accepted and absorbed. Poles, Italians, Ukrainians and all sorts of others have also been welcomed with open arms and accepted (certainly during and after WW2). They have all fitted in nicely and enriched all of our lives.
