Super League Is Back

Big year for Rugby league this year with it being the World Cup back end of the year.

Hopefully Smiffs mob can have a decent season (they will have 4 points off us).

Widnes will be shit this year. Middle 8's for us.

Saints are shit.

Salford fans are manc benders.

That is all :D

St. Helens slightly bigger so that may be a better option than Warrington

Warrington it is. Less than 4K tickets for Salford. Sad thing is these will sell out like hot Cakes and we can't get 3k at home.

Fingers crossed I get a ticket

On sale Wednesday 10am

Season ticket holders only

Season ticket holders only

The club changed it after they tweeted it so i will get my tickets on Friday

How many season ticket holders are there? 2k tops I would imagine but could be wrong?

I've had a couple of meetings with Ian Blease recently trying to help understand what can be done (club and fans together) to step change the level of support and increase the revenues. It's going to be a long road trying to change the mentality of two generations of football fans in the City to watch Rugby League. There is plenty to do that's for sure. MK ploughs in £1m a year of his own cash so that's unsustainable and things have to change and soon

Completely agree ST unsustainable and I can't understand why we aren't seeing an increase. Most successful season in living memory and people stay away it's a real shame.

How did you get involved in those discussions out of interest?

It came from a twitter request to mobilise some fans to try and work with the club with a more strategic intent as opposed to the current disparate way. I think it will end up forming an official supporters club that will volunteer their services to help promote the club in the communities such as...

  • Attending Festivals/Community events within the City
  • Summer Training Camps
  • Working with the Council to publicise the club
  • Season Ticket strategy
  • Matchday Volunteers
  • Social Media Strategy

The list goes on

So like forever reds did for years before? Buying equipment for the youth teams etc?

The current owner marginalised them to the extent they basically fucked it off.

If you really want to make a difference st tell marwan to stop the shite about changing to Manchester because that one thing alone is marring the best season we've seen in years.

Oh and fuck rhp off too he's overseen the biggest meltdown of a club in the history of sl.

We've been shit for 40 years and one season with a modicum of success ain't gonna get them flocking in.

Looks like Forever Reds will be reborn J, though there are some Trustee issues that need to be resolved first. Manchester will not come off the agenda until there are signs of recovery off the pitch sadly. As for RHP i think he is here to stay for a while at least.

Cheers mate i believe we have Monton and Roe Green festivals covered

Well good luck mate.

The issue that the club have is that they only communicate (with existing fans) via Facebook.

Where do the New fans come from?

And will he be able to get 2000 new season ticket holders ? In Manchester?

I won't support a Manchester team and given the views on the deviltalk forum neither will most others.

Love to see the results of the fans consultation thing and see how many folk actually think changing it is a good idea.

I'd guess none.

The thing is we should be talking about a cup semi final and being in the top 4 but all we talk about is this shite. Fucking typical Salford.

Btw the semi will sell out from our side because the hj is easier to get to than the aj bell....
