Didn't want to get my fingers burned

You need to adjust the thermostat.

However, if you do get burned remember it's not a dry burn so apply a cold compress and keep it moist

With that knowledge I assume you are a first aider at work. I was looking around the office for one last week when a young female member of staff was on the floor having a fit and all I got was the office perv repeatedly asking if someone had loosened her clothing.

When I worked at a higher education establishment the fucking pervs and wankers had a radar/sixth sense for girls/women passing out or fitting etc. it was eerie, I had to stand guard on many occasion until th'ambulance arrived. I half expected a Silence of the Lambs style 'seagull' to fly past as they were loaded in the van, one of the wankers spying their last chance for 'contact'.

Cheers

I pay the water rates on a property that they think is owned by a pensioner

Why don't you get a meter fitted anyway - My bill has more than halved and we've not cut back any. Washer is always on, no brick in the toilet cistern

Our bills changed dramatically when we moved from rates to a meter  -  Isn't the rule of thumb something along the lines of if you have more bedrooms than people, then it's cheaper to be on a meter.

Anyway, we pay £22 per month, and the dishwasher and washing machine seem to be on all the time......we don't scrimp on the water usage

Mines just arrived this morning, dropped from £27 to £24 per month, about 4 years ago when i had the meter installed it was nearer £60 per month

Never bothered with a meter and let the old guy next door use my tap when he's power washing his drive and patios cos I'm kind like that. Edit: he is on a meter

Having said that should perhaps think about it as both gas and leccy have dropped by about 30% since all the kids have left.

Think the general rule of thumb is if there are more bedrooms in the house than people then you are better off on a meter
