Winding Up Orders

Last I heard, it was court tomorrow

ST and Lies reported 3, including Heathcotes mob

KA said that was old news, leaving 2

Now, I can see HMRC is definitely a club issue, but the other is Sport Shield

If we assume KA can deal with HMRC debt - I'd have been happier if he had sorted that one already, tbf- that 'just' leaves SS and blumarble

If the court agrees to wind up SS, do we know what that means and also the impact on BWFC

  • The harsh reality is that name of the club has been dragged through the dirt in last few years. Massive debts, relegation, players not being paid etc etc.   Go back to when KA was first linked he w

  • Mounts had a word and told them the financial benefit of having a football stadium 300 yards away

  • Imagine that, a site that represents BWFC's hardcore support being pro-the bloke who has saved us from oblivion. Just fucking imagine that.

Individually maybe.... but we emailed all on a couple of occasions apologising for this...

I remember Jamie (who built the original website) staying up all night trying to transfer them all onto a data base and sort them out into categories ... the problem we had was that there was only me and Ian sifting through these...

After 4 or 5 days we wasn't even sure who we'd emailed... in the end, we emailed them all and asked if they where still interested in helping to contact us by reply... I'm not sure how many responded, but we ended up spending a full day at the Whites Hotel meeting all the different candidates...

I might add, apart from Daniel who was recommended by Gudni.... everybody else both on the original steering group and board have come from the EOI forms and that includes Jamie

Are you happy with the current owners and work they have done so far?

And, as I asked last night, since much of the leadership has lost credibility, should all the committee put themselves up for re election

I think all of the Board will put themselves up...Remember last year both me and ian wasn't going to stand, but because the st board legally has to consist of at least 6 board members and nobody else stood, we where asked to step back up or face the ST folding....

I would urge everyone who can to get involved and if you feel you have something to say...then stand in the election... the Supporters Trust isn't mine or Daniels or Maggies.or anybody else...it all of ours... it belongs to all the supporters of BWFC... the more people we have involved, the more diverse it will be and the more it will feel that it represents your view...

it only feels like it doesn't represent the people on here, because there is nobody from here batting you corner...

Josh, as I said earlier, really pleased that you have come on here.

Please outline why it hasn't been done before.

Josh.

Have either the members, or the shareholders given the board a single mandate for any action ?

Have the members or shareholders ever voted on the makeup of the board ?

If Either of the above two answers are no, do either you personally, or the board as a whole, feel hypocritical to 'be speaking on behalf of the supporters' when those same supporters have had no say in the same matters.

A supporters trust is guided by a set of rules,...they're called the 'Model Rules'

Set out in these rules are the aims, aspirations and objectives of the Bolton Wanderers Supporters' Trust,

we don't and have never spoken on behalf of supporters... we have only ever spoken on behalf of The Bolton Wanderers Supporters' Trust.. of which, if you are a member... you will have signed up to our mandated model rules which are set out here... http://bwfcst.co.uk/Trust%20Documents/BWFCST%20-%20Supporters%20Community%20Mutual%20Model%20Rules.pdf

So no I don't feel hypocritical either personally or as a board member.... its a bit like signing up at the local cricket club then moaning because they're playing cricket when your trying to have a quiet drink...

This might come across as a little condescending, however it isn't meant to be...

but in laymans terms ....I suppose the Supporters trust does have an agenda...although it isn't a hidden one...its laid out for all to see in the model rules..

so if you as a supporter who signs up to the ST, you're in effect, not only joining the trust... you're mandating the board to carry out that agenda... So why would we have to vote on something we're set up to do...?

Like I posted earlier...I'm not doing this in any official capacity..(I think that might actually be quite difficult to be honest..)

I'm doing it as a BWFC supporter who wanted to set a few things straight regarding some of the speculation around the trust I've read on here...

and to be fair.. not unsurprising really when things are left unsaid for so long...

Well, please keep in touch; it's certainly helped, I'm sure.

Are you happy with the current owners and work they have done so far?

Mike seems to have missed this

A few times :)

I think Gonzo is wondering if you're happy with the current owners and work they have done so far?

I thought I'd answered this question... ? I think he's done a brilliant job.... I neither like nor dislike him... I don;t even know the man...although I'm not too happy that he's attacked Daniel on a personal level in his Chairman's notes...a bit naughty and uncalled for really...

Daniel or the trust for that matter have never been personal to Ken in any way....

unfortunately we and the club are on different sides of the track when it comes to the ACV... it doesn't mean we're against the club or anti-Ken... it just means we have different opinions on the value of having the ACV in place...

Spot on.

Who the fuck is Philip Shortland by the way?

Question for josh8.....

It is clear to me that one of your personal friends who goes by the twitter handle ibreezeblock has posted a number of highly anti-Ken twitter posts since the takeover, and continues to do so. He also openly does not support ownership of football clubs by rich individuals. Now, given to my knowledge you have a long standing association especially with regard to the football club, please could you explain what your personal opinion is with regard to a) Ken Anderson and b,) rich individuals in general owning football clubs? Does it matter to you that Ken Anderson resides in Monaco?

Whilst I appreciate you cannot control what anyone posts - the problem with much of the ST has been negative association. Many who openly support the trust do so because they openly oppose Ken and private ownership.

I've known breezeblock since he was a 17 yr old kid who started one of the first fanzines at bwfc..in fact I met through that fanzine, I used to advertise in it, he's also one of the funniest guys I 've met....

I haven't seen or spoke to him in a couple if years though... so I wouldn't know his opinion on Ken or rich people owning football clubs, but I'll ask him when I next see him...haha

TBH ....I know quite alot of people through this club, but I haven't got a clue what there politics are.. neither am I bothered...

We currently have around 6800 members with nearly 3500 shareholders...I very much doubt they all fit into your category...

I'd love the rich guy at Man Citeh to sack them off and bring his toys over to the Macron play here...

I don't give a toss where ken lives...more to the point...would it bother him that I live in Wigan...?

I believe the whole sewer rats comment was in reply to some pretty shitty personal abuse sent his way by a few posters on here. Fair game if you can dish it, then don't cry when someone give you a bit back.

Likewise.

Your cronies are happy to block all and sundry when anyone calls them out.

Thank you for your earlier answer, its much appreciated that you will take the time to listen to us moaning bastards.

You may have explained this earlier, but what is the difference between a shareholder and a member. Is a member someone who signed up as interested initially, but sacked it off without paying the £10, or is there another stage between that moment in time and being a shareholder.

Likewise.

They're actually making a mockery of any Twitter discussion re trust, Anderson et al

There's generally more than half of any discussion that plenty of us can't read, purely for having differing views

You want to see the convo between bower and Phil shortland tonight mate.

Tinfoil hats at the ready.

A member are those who originally signed up and Pledged to become members and the shareholders are those who went on to complete their pledge and Pay £10 subscription...only shareholders can vote in the up coming election

Fancy that people having different views. If you don't agree then just let it wash over you

Likewise indeed. Can't help but think the world would be better off if Twitter was banned

Thank you, it was in response to an earlier debate over the true numbers of the trust.

I take it then that the actual number is < 3500, ie those who actually paid, rather than Bills dog, Toms invisible mate who he put down for a laugh, and me.

Its one of those mistrust issues, when the number of members is artificially inflated to include those who have no interest at all.
