Winding Up Orders

Last I heard, it was court tomorrow

ST and Lies reported 3, including Heathcotes mob

KA said that was old news, leaving 2

Now, I can see HMRC is definitely a club issue, but the other is Sport Shield

If we assume KA can deal with HMRC debt - I'd have been happier if he had sorted that one already, tbf- that 'just' leaves SS and blumarble

If the court agrees to wind up SS, do we know what that means and also the impact on BWFC

Josh, in case anybody doesnt know who you are and your involvement with the trust, are you happy to tell the class?

For any who haven't followed the clues!

Why has it taken so long for this sort of communication and why do it via a forum and not under your own banner? There are obviously a good few readers here but I would bet more are sat at home wondering why they rarely hear from you. Might be worth publicising these facts. If you want any help in doing that I'd be happy to oblige.

Also, have you ever eaten at Bella Italia?

I'm doing this as Me a supporter, not me as a Trust board member... maybe we could explore something like that on the official website, the problem is that different people have different opinions on how this kind of info should be released, especially when you have certain factions who want will dissect your every word and read into it all kinds of theories ...

Haha..no I've never been to Bella Italia... but on that subject, we took a lot of stick over the App, but again we where approached by a company who had developed a new app solution and offered to do it free of charge and that could be used as a source of revenue in the future, so why wouldn't we want to have some of that...?

All this tripe about Firth and Bower - neither have anything to do with the Trust apart from being members. This is another internetism that has become accepted truth.

They are very vocal critics of the club, the perception is they are intertwined with the ST. It's a bad place to be. Bowers' departure from the ST under a cloud didn't help. The ST needs to distance themselves from them, imo.

Fair enough. Did our lad send you my email address? Get in touch regarding my offer if you like.

I don't have a problem with the fact that the trust don't communicate much, as is the way with KA for example. I don't expect an instant response when people have work/life commitments.

However, given how fast they are to jump on any bad news then this creates the perhaps false impression that you are anti-BWFC. This is exacerbated by the people I named previously, every one seems smug, arrogant, detached from our actual fans. This to me seens the worst possible position to find yourselves in.

Ken has fucked you off now. You'd have to be crazy to get involved with the ST at this stage. For me, you are done.

But it was only 4 weeks ago KA was praising the trust for the work we where doing and looking forward to working with us in the future....

From KA's notes dated 21 Aug:

"I would also like to acknowledge the support that our Supporters’ Trust are giving to the Academy Fund and we endeavour to work closely with them from hereon in for the benefit of this great football club."

Nothing has change on our part  as far as I'm concerned apart from we haven't come out and supported the clubs stance on the ACV....

I'd say any group with an image of being shit stirring tosspots would do well to steer clear of a group with an image of being shit stirring tosspots

Just my opinion, like

Cheers but I'll carry on all the same.

Fair play for coming on here answering questions Josh

In all honesty, I'm just not close enough to any of the detail these days, it gave me a headache in the end

I'm just hoping the Stelios / Shania Twain consortium finally come up with the goods

Josh.

Serious question given the Trust is a new thing what are the lessons you have learnt and what are the say 3 things you would do different know.

Was,as seemed the case, the ST in discussions with Deano at all ?

Stuffy can you avoid commenting on every other post on this thread please ? It is clear there is some history here and that will stop this being a useful debate. No offence.

There are loads of thing I'd have done differently.. one would have not to got involved at all...hahaha

Seriously though..Its easy for people to slag us off from a far, but you have to realise, none of us had ever done anything like this before... and contrary to popular belief, we were all stranger to each other (apart from me knowing Chris Peacock) as Kane will testify as he was part of the inception of the trust...

There was no infrastructure in place or anybody telling us how to do it, so everything really was adhoc... I think the first meeting we had, involved 8 or 9 supporters, some turned up and others phoned in...but over that first month it dwindled down to just the 3 of us trying to start something we had no clue where it was going...

after that phenomenal first meeting when nearly 1000 people turned up and we received over 600 expressions of interest... it just took off...

we realised very quickly that we needed help.... 3 of us (and don't forget Chris was based in London) just couldn't cope so we set about going through the expressions of Interest, looking for people who we thought might have the skills to not only set up a supporters trust from scratch, but could spare the time to do it and move it forward... this turned out to be was one of the hardest things to do, just because the sheer volume of EOI forms ..even Supporters Direct was shocked at the response...

Once we put a steering group together, and don't forget these people where made up of strangers too, from all walks of life who only had one thing in common... they all loved BWFC ..

we where then able to put the building blocks in place to form the BWFCST...yes..definitely some mistakes, but the infrastructure is there now...which will make it very easy for the next generation to move it forward.. and hopefully learn from our mistakes...

We only ever had one meeting with Deano..(although, I'm told he did speak to one of the steering group members on a cpl of occasions) and that was to try and broker a truce between him and Ken..I must admit, we met Ken too within a cpl of days... but obviously they where too far apart for us to help...

And, as I asked last night, since much of the leadership has lost credibility, should all the committee put themselves up for re election

Josh.

Have either the members, or the shareholders given the board a single mandate for any action ?

Have the members or shareholders ever voted on the makeup of the board ?

If Either of the above two answers are no, do either you personally, or the board as a whole, feel hypocritical to 'be speaking on behalf of the supporters' when those same supporters have had no say in the same matters.

And, as I asked last night, since much of the leadership has lost credibility, should all the committee put themselves up for re election

Which I guess will be why all calls for another open meeting have gone unheeded

Interesting read this , well done for coming on and tackling the questions Josh8.

Yeah, not a problem, Sorry..I just assumed everybody knew who I was ..

George didn't depart the Trust under a cloud...in fact it was the opposite,

he actually moved to Spain so couldn't carry on giving the trust his usual 30+ hours a week... you also have to understand that George moves in similar circles to KA and seems to know quite a bit more about him than most of us,

I don't know any of the other guys you're talking about .. members can have whatever view they want, the only criteria to become a member is you want BWFC to still be in existence when we are long gone...

,...

Are you happy with the current owners and work they have done so far?

George Bower i believe ?   @ContinuumCFP: As thick as pig shit. Seriously! A bunch of sewer rats feeding shit to each other'

Individually maybe.... but we emailed all on a couple of occasions apologising for this...

I remember Jamie (who built the original website) staying up all night trying to transfer them all onto a data base and sort them out into categories ... the problem we had was that there was only me and Ian sifting through these...

After 4 or 5 days we wasn't even sure who we'd emailed... in the end, we emailed them all and asked if they where still interested in helping to contact us by reply... I'm not sure how many responded, but we ended up spending a full day at the Whites Hotel meeting all the different candidates...

I might add, apart from Daniel who was recommended by Gudni.... everybody else both on the original steering group and board have come from the EOI forms and that includes Jamie
