I used to sell card transaction services for banks and accepting credit cards would usually cost the business about 2-3% of the transaction with debit card payments a one off of around 50p. That was a good ten years a go though, perhaps prices have come down

 

You can imagine if we sold 2,000 away tickets at £20 each over the phone / credit card then had to give all £40k to the home team, it would cost the club £1,000 in card services for the transactions

 

From a purely financial point of view you'd end up hoping we take a shit following every week in order to save the club thousands in costs

 

Of great but a sign of the times with the belt tightening now that we have no parachute money coming in

When we are top of the league and looking like winning the title folk won't give a flying fcuk about the ticket fee.

It does appear most clubs charge this fee so i wouldn't get too wound up. 

Now unable to make Millwall because of work so I've got a ‪£22 train ticket available for sale.
