I can see who’s chatting shit from either side of the political spectrum, and cheese specialises in it…. Even cutting an article short to falsely represent.

Absolutely - it's an interesting comparison from Mr. Cheese. I was just pointing out we've seen the same from you many a time.

Getting the current system operating might be a fucking start.

That’s a Tory system though. If Labour get in what do you want to see? Do you think there should be more coming in?

In response to @royal white's important question and @Mounts Kipper's argument that immigration is a massive winner for election.

Is it ? Recent polls show that the economy, health, housing and the environment are all now bigger issues to the electorate than immigration is. The most important issues facing the country (yougov.co.uk)

Personally, like most of the electorate I'd like to see Labour prioritise these other more important issues. The Conservatives seem more interested in distracting us with stories about invading immigrants than tackling the climate crisis and sorting out the NHS. Unless we work with other countries better to combat the climate crisis then we're only looking at the tip of the iceberg. The situation with Ukrainian Refugees shows just how compassionate this country is and we will continue to help those that need it as the climate worsens. We can prevent this by actually doing something meaningful about climate change now.

Not denying the situation with the channel isn't important - any government needs to work better with France to prevent them crossing. I don't know why it is so hard to do this - any semi decent undercover cop could catch the traffickers.

Sending folk to Rwanda is a waste of time and resources. Hostile environment policies haven't worked in the past and they won't in the future.

So you’re happy with the current situation?

Folk (including myself) have questioned things you've said many a time on here and given you chance to defend it. That's on the politics thread by the way, not the football thread 👌

I'll let you know next time I do x

Get processing claims properly

Which people?

The people

They are being done properly aren’t they? Just not fast enough. Do you think more should be coming in? Are we as a country able to cope with probably 100s thousand extra people a year?

what she Said Yesterday

Braverman

Its a invasion

that will Appeal to the masses

and if she can stop most of them

then will be good for the Election

Process people in their, or as far away as is safe, countries

And if we stop wasting millions on patel and bravermans vanity project, itll pay for itself

Make it possible to make a claim and if folk still choose to use boats, by all means send em to wherever you want

But to cut off legal means then refer to folk as illegal (which theyre not) invaders is absolutely fucking vile

That's lower than current net migration levels. So yes.

Some areas, such as Scotland, need more and other areas don't. It's about how they are dispersed.

let them work whilst waiting on an asylum claim as well. Whether it's in the NHS, care, farming and other industries. Paying tax rather than waiting around for years on ends surviving on handouts and volunteer work. Only a win for the economy.

What do you think needs to happen?

I edited it to 100s of thousands not long after posting .

Yes I’ll agree with getting them working but what about schools, hospitals, housing etc all of which are struggling. Even the areas that might need more. (Why do they need more?)

It wasn't a direct comparison. It was a comment on the potential direction we seem to be heading - continually expanding the processing facility and holding them there indefinitely, rather than improving the efficiency of the system.

What was the percentage they've got through? Was sod all wasn't it?

Maybe if they were processed properly the numbers might fall.

How would that work?

You mean giving people a bed, food and medical care because of the delays in processing (because of a massive increase of people coming over) yes just like a concentration camp that. It won’t be long before British Gas are down there repiping the showers.

Process say 75% of claimants within a month, say 80% are bogus and are returned immediately.

Could you be arsed paying for a dinghy trip then?

I'm pulling those figures out of my arse by the way.

We could just send them back to France.

All it takes is a deal, and we were promised they were a piece of piss after 2016.

May be an image of 4 people and text that says 'I'M GINA COLADANGELO AND I'VE BEEN FCKING HIM SINCE THE START OF THE PANDEMIC. I'M MATT HANCOCK... WAS so GRATEFUL FOR THE SEX THAT GAVE GINA'SBROTHERA A BROTHER £28 MILLION NHS CONTRACT NIST'
