Well, spent loads of time in Farnworth growing up, spending time my my grandparents and I always quited like the place. Learnt to swim in Farnworth baths and then loved going to the market afterwards.

Got a lovely pic of the old folks in the Shuttle before it became a complete shithole. Mind you, its got my grandnan in it, so it must have been early 70s! Although she was from The Gorbals so Farnworth must have seemed an improvement.

Shuttle was my local growing up. I lived on the estate from when it was built in '73 until I went to Uni in '87

The Lakeland estate? Spent a lot of time there as a kid.

Loved the row of shops near the shuttle as a kids as my grandparents knew everyone and got extra sweets at the shop.

Well they were they from the mid 60s, my mums brother got killed on Highfield Rd being run over, which is why I got my name.

When back for a wedding this summer, but not round where Cherry Tree is etc, not been there for years.

My dad's best mate was headteacher at Cherry Tree for years.

Yeah, she's lovely, it was her wedding bash we went to in the summer at the cricket club.
