Had an OP last week after the NHS fucked it up and then told me I had to wait 6 months for it to be sorted. My private health had it sorted in 2 weeks .Benenden health if anyone is interested. Works out about £11 a month.

To be fair it was your surgeon who fucked it up. And the bad news is that there's a decent chance it'll be the same surgeon at Benenden. You might want to double check that if you were unhappy with how it was performed.

It's generally the same staff who work in the NHS the rest of the week but do an extra shift privately because they get paid more.

It’s definitely a different surgeon and this one did it with the aid of a MRI scan, the first one didn’t so I’m hoping this will work.

Heres one for you Kent. When this problem first started (abscess) I knew what is was as I’d had one before. Went to Bolton A and E on Friday afternoon, 7hr wait and was referred to the duty GP. He said it was bad, there was a risk of sepsis and would need operating on asap. So what did he do…..referred me back to my own GP who would then have to refer me for surgery.  I asked why he couldn’t refer me and the excuse was Covid. What’s all that about?

More interested in how it’s going to be fixed.

Fair enough.

It doesn’t bother you that the people who broke it are the ones you’re relying on to sort it? Even though they’ve had 12 years to do so.

That’s democracy. No point wondering how Labour are going to fix it when they’re not in a position too.

Hope you get it sorted mate. It sounds bloody painful.

I don't know the answer to your question above. It does sound bloody daft though. We have some weird and wonderful pathways in the NHS and about 50% of them make any sense! 😁

There was probably a reasonable answer for it somewhere down the line! 😁

Cheers kent.

It would have to be a long line to find some common sense and a reasonable answer behind that! 😂

Why go to a and e?

She wouldve had you seen same day for that

Had been to the GP twice already and was given antibiotics that didn’t work. A and E was the right call for what it was.

Covid was the reason 🤷🏻‍♂️

Instead of us being ashamed or upset that these people want to seek refuge here can we not feel pride that as a nation we are prepared to help those in need the most?

Yes within reason and when we are in a position to do so, which we obviously aren’t at the minute. Showing pride doesn’t make houses, schools and hospitals appear.

Clearly not.

Well it wasnt

Cos you still had to go to your GP , for reasons unknown

Anyway, she says was it bollocks covid, but she does agree with kent that the lack of joined up processes is one of the bigger issues facing the NHS

Btw, she gets proper riled when folk are encouraged to go to their GP with a and e things

So, for her to still be telling me its a GP issue, im leaving it alone!

Maybe a govt not tossing about for 7 years wouldve done?

Anyway, i wasnt totally in agreement with stuff starmer was saying today, laying all the blame at the tories door, but this shower have been so shit, hes getting my vote

Well the Dr for reasons that only he will know decided to lie to me. Everyone I’ve spoken to since has said make sure I make a report to PALS

As I said I had numerous visits to the GP and 2 courses of antibiotics that didn’t work. It was A and e at this stage. (And you ain’t getting to see your local GP on a Friday afternoon)  When it first happened I was flown to Baghdad  hospital I was at a critical stage (American Drs fucked go and ended up taking my appendix out 🤷🏻‍♂️) you kind of get to know your own body over the years.

It might have, however wondering what might have happened isn’t going to fix the problem we have now.

I guarantee you he won’t murder anyone over the next few months.

Thanks, it’s very reassuring.

Thats what happens I suppose when you get shut of the party that’s making a right fucking mess.

But that’s isn’t happening is it. As you know.

I was referring to a person rather than a political group when I used the word party. Your interpretation is yours to make.

im just more of the opinion that if someone is making a pigs ear of the job they’ve been given, that continually hoping they’ll change for the better might be a waste of time.
