Yep, sadly to make it even worse, we made a collective decision to fuck our farmers over a few years ago as well

I presume you're referring to Brexit.

Which would be erroneous.

You could argue subsequent deal with the EU isn't as good as it could be (though, as I always said, it won't be as the EU is so stuck in its own ideology, and a deal is only as good as both parties are prepared to make it) but the subsequent payment systems are/were superior to the common agricultural policy beforehand.

The issue is the poor implementation by Defra- the civil service- and it's dinosaur paced administration, together with its ideologically driven, impractical approach. Very typical of government departments.

Now this government has screwed them over additionally, as we know.

Farage has promised to undo these, which will be good, but he will have separate issues to deal with, if he looks to pursue better trade deals. They may also adversely affect farmers.

Still clinging on to that "Brexit just wasn't done properly!" thread. Utterly delusional.

Deflection (Bingo!)

Deflection? 🤷‍♂️

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to get my point across. I wouldn’t have bothered otherwise.👍

Come on Boby.

Would you raise income tax, leave it or lower it, given the state of the economy after the last few years?

Basic criticism is all well and good but eventually you need to offer an alternative or it just becomes repetitive and empty

Of course I’d raise income tax. I’d also cut public spending by more than I’d raise  in tax. It isn’t difficult unless you’re worried about the polls. Then it becomes political, which, I suspect you haven’t thought about.

Because people like you criticise them at every turn.

If they do what you mention here, you’d continue to do so.

They cannot win with you. I assure you that whatever the budget throws up, you will be straight on here calling it dogshit.

As sure as night follows day.

Some of the above, but a huge immediate impact was the labour shortage, certainly for seasonal work. For some reason, it was believed that folk from the UK would pick up that slack, which I think anybody with half a brain knew wouldn't happen.

The government, especially the one who was in charge at the time, was always going to fuck farming off, and this current lot won't help the situation, in fact they might be making it worse. Farage, if he ever gets the top job, won't help them either

A ptoper socialist labour government would never support land owning farmers, they would have to nationalise them into collectives

People like me? 😅 I’m guessing you don’t read or watch the news. Its headlines everyday about this government’s problems. Do you (and Cheese who ‘liked’ this) live in a bubble?

I don’t.

But I’m not bitter because I “lost” at the last election and am now desperate for Labour to fail.

They have 14 years of cowshit mismanagement to deal with and deserve time to do it. They’ve been dealt a shit hand and you know full well they have.

But if all you want to do is criticise then that’s up to you.

My guess is that when reform get in you’ll be prepared to cut them some slack 🥰

I'm glad to see you still have the original prototype of the Fist master F1000, a proper workhorse. None of the electronics or new fangled cum collection trays and pube tuggers that the modern versions have. I hope you still have all the attachments, if so, it'll be worth a fortune.

Also a nice touch to see the blood stains of the victims still on the wall as a reminder.

There are 3 levers for a Chancellor to pull or push

Income tax, Value Added Tax, National Insurance

That's it

Just a reminder. You were all warned.

I’ve read that before and it really isn’t the smoking gun you’d like it to be. You’re gonna need a bigger gun.

10 years of the lowest interest rates and inflation in all our lifetimes?

Read it again, I can’t hold your hand.

People can make their own minds up of course but the author clearly highlights how sick the economy was whilst desperately trying not to.

What happened in Bolton?

I suspect it will be earlier than 2029.
Whoever gets in, they can’t do any worse. That’s how Labour got in remember.

I guess the point Spider is making (or one of them) is that you do genuinely seem absolutely delighted at each bit of bad news that comes out. It's almost like the worse it gets, the more pleased you are.

Better be careful where you put that X next time then.

Imagine the criticism your team might get if they win. Eeek.

Really? You don’t know me.
Are we not allowed to criticise the government? There was a lot of criticism of the last. You were one of those. Did it please you?
