The obvious death toll aside for a minute, It's bad for business, consumer confidence will be shot to pieces everywhere and spending will be reigned in globally, the global economy would need to produce less as a result and lots of people get laid off

 

The Chinese need a strong global economy with high demand more than anyone, I bet they would be happy for the entire US army to be camped out on the Korean Peninsula if it means the orders keep coming in

Edit - even if Trump wanted to go all Rambo and do his own thing surely he needs the support of the rest of the US political system? I'd be surprised if a President does not have the power to change a healthcare bill but they can wage nuclear war without provocation

They mentioned this on the radio earlier, and it was suggested that if Trump told them to "go in" his Generals could well tell him to fuck off. The thought being that, like the Senate and the House of Representatives, the Military top brass also think he's a bit of a bell and won't just blindly follow his inane ramblings and ego trip.

I actually kind of agree with Trump on one thing (never thought I'd type that) his threat of embargoes on countries that trade with NK may push China into partaking in any action with the us.

 

The UN should quickly follow any military action to help stabilise and set up elections etc.

Again, nothing will happen unless the Americans/Japan/SK feel confident they can mitigate any aggression from nk.
