September 4, 20178 yr If China stops supplying the North Koreans with oil then the regime will be finished within a month. and they'd get millions of refugees in return. Not going to happen. Now China hosting peace talks between USA and NK - maybe.
September 4, 20178 yr and they'd get millions of refugees in return. Not going to happen . They could build a wall and make the North Koreans pay for it.
September 4, 20178 yr and they'd get millions of refugees in return. Not going to happen. Now China hosting peace talks between USA and NK - maybe. Short term pain, for long term gain? Not such a bad idea. A more friendly set up in nk would suit the Chinese as much as anyone.
September 4, 20178 yr The last thing anyone needs are nuclear bombs going off The obvious death toll aside for a minute, It's bad for business, consumer confidence will be shot to pieces everywhere and spending will be reigned in globally, the global economy would need to produce less as a result and lots of people get laid off The Chinese need a strong global economy with high demand more than anyone, I bet they would be happy for the entire US army to be camped out on the Korean Peninsula if it means the orders keep coming in A lot of chest thumping at the moment but I'd be very surprised if it gets to anything more than words

If Korea carry on acting the cunt, trump won't think twice about steaming in.
September 4, 20178 yr The yanks need a strong global economy as much as China, Japan as well Nobody benefits from it all kicking off If NK strike first then it's all going off but I can't see everyone else jumping in on NK first off. Ball in the court of NK as it has been for decades Edit - even if Trump wanted to go all Rambo and do his own thing surely he needs the support of the rest of the US political system? I'd be surprised if a President does not have the power to change a healthcare bill but they can wage nuclear war without provocation Edited September 4, 20178 yr by birch-chorley
September 4, 20178 yr what happends if NK dose fire a nuke at some country with no nukes ??? or one that dose just to test the water the moonman
September 4, 20178 yr You're forgetting who's in charge of American military. If Korea carry on acting the cunt, trump won't think twice about steaming in. They mentioned this on the radio earlier, and it was suggested that if Trump told them to "go in" his Generals could well tell him to fuck off. The thought being that, like the Senate and the House of Representatives, the Military top brass also think he's a bit of a bell and won't just blindly follow his inane ramblings and ego trip. I suppose we might find out soon enough
September 4, 20178 yr Author They (and us) invaded Iraq because they had a couple of air riffles buried under some rocks. This guy is firing rockets over Japan and building nuclear weaponry for all to see. Funny how it's different when there's no oil involved

Funny how it's different when there's no oil involved In one. Probably just coincidence but I'm sure Cambodia and Rwanda have little to no oil resources as well?
September 4, 20178 yr Surely no one thinks nuking north Korea is a good idea? There is a type of person, usually white, middle aged, male and working class, who suggest dropping a nuclear bomb every time there is a global political issue.
September 4, 20178 yr Surely no one thinks nuking north Korea is a good idea? they have start somewhere
September 4, 20178 yr I'd be much more concerned if Iran had nukes NK are tinpot but they're not daft enough to push the button. The Iranians would have a pop at Israel given any chance at all. It's all about containment. Let them carry on.
September 4, 20178 yr There is a type of person, usually white, middle aged, male and working class, who suggest dropping a nuclear bomb every time there is a global political issue. True He'll generally slip the fact that he's "not racist" into it as well

September 4, 20178 yr Surely no one thinks nuking north Korea is a good idea? I don't believe for one minute that if the yanks go in, that it will be with nukes. A huge 'conventional' strike on their nuclear facilities and missile batteries and other pertinent military facilities.

September 4, 20178 yr I actually kind of agree with Trump on one thing (never thought I'd type that) his threat of embargoes on countries that trade with NK may push China into partaking in any action with the us. The UN should quickly follow any military action to help stabilise and set up elections etc.
September 4, 20178 yr Or even that's a good idea? Maybe. Doesn't mean it won't happen though. Again, nothing will happen unless the Americans/Japan/SK feel confident they can mitigate any aggression from nk.
September 4, 20178 yr Another view from a chap on the news. Japan and south Korea may now look to develop their own nukes, which China certainly wouldn't want. Come on China, do your stuff.
