Wanderers 0-3 Brentford

Don't need to go on about the importance of this game, especially with 2 aways following

At £15 a ticket it would be nice to have a decent crowd and really get behind the lads

Can't score for shit but 2-1 whites

  • I think we should be focusing on scoring more than Brentford on Saturday as well as conceding less.   If we score more and concede less we will win.

We're trying to tackle the Championship with a League 1 squad. The loanees only of that level and perm signings cast offs from bottom end Champ clubs.   Nobody's fault, circumstances that prevailed,

We probably needed to come up for the extra funds so we could afford to get out of the embargo   Staying down last season wouldn't have done us any favours

Surely we have by law of averages have to score. What is it now over 7 hours without a goal?

Scrappy 1-0

Massive game for this one. neither team wanting to give anything away.

Drab 0-0, poor performance and no change to a system that clearly isn't working.....but it will be ok because people over 40 have seen much much worse :D

We've tried at least 3 systems so far

None have worked

hit and hope to one man is not gonna work.

hit and hope to one man is not gonna work.

correct play madine with a guy who sits on the bench who believe it or not is a goalscorer

We have to try something different as what we are currently doing isn't working

Fantastic

Where are we getting the body from

Cos 3 at the back ain't enough nor is 4 in midfield with what we have available

Fortunately it ain't my problem

We have to try something different as what we are currently doing isn't working

Get away

I'm not sure there's anything we can try that hasn't been tried

Admittedly I've missed a few but we have played with 3 at the back 4 at the back and 5 at the back

We've had 3 4 and 5 in midfield

We've had one up front and two up front

I'm with you

I'm just going off past performances Sheffield was better with 2 up

I heard as much

Possibly our easiest home game so far?

On paper obvs

I understand to an extent against Leeds/Derby and boro

Brentford is a must 2 upfront for me it's going to get where even a point will be no good

Our best performance was Sheffield Wednesday when we went on the front foot. Maybe worth a try eh

Get away

So you agree with the statement you are calling me out on?

The players need to step up. We are giving basic goals away, that can and should be stopped.

We create nothing going forward though. Back to 442 with wingers who play on the wing and someone to support washing machine up top.

I'm agreeing nothing has worked

Where we disagree is that I feel the solution probably doesn't lie in changing formation

Play 5-0-5

PP, me and most on here are judged on results.

Results and perhaps more importantly performances are a million miles away from acceptable and he's got to take responsibility for that. Were getting well beaten, not just beaten.

Burton lose 5 at Leeds then draw at Norwich and beat Fulham. We couldn't bounce back like that and people were saying Burton are nailed on for relegation.

I know we aren't good enough but for gods sake we've got to give it a better go than this. Excuses, excuses and more excuses, game after game.

I also worry that he's watching a different game to the rest of us, defending the players too much.

FWIW i don't think changing Manager will help but once he loses the fans (and he will if he doesn't keep mentioning us calling Pratley) his days are up.

Fail to win any of the next 3 games and i think he will go anyway.

We've fought so hard to get here, it will be a shame if we go down with a whimper.

We could try playing football?

Anyway, a win, 2-1

it looks to me whenever we try to 'play football' we give the fcuking thing away in stupid positions and concede

That is the problem in a nutshell for me. Our passing and movement is wank. Irrespective of whether passes are long or short, it amazes me how frequently passes to team mates go astray and put us in trouble.

At times players seem scared to death of making a run forward.

Surely they practice kicking it to each other?

Try le fondre and armstrong up front

As good as he's been, we haven't tried playing without Madine and actually trying a bit of football.

When you've run out of ideas...

Ipswich was a mustn't lose, this is a must win

Fucked if I know what our 'best team' is

Our midfield resembles the Bermuda Triangle, whoever you put in, whatever the formation, they just go missing

Think we do need to go two up front for this, whilst I've been relatively impressed with Madine thus far, he hasn't got a decent amount of goals in him at this level and we are in dire need of scoring on Saturday

Playing Madine up top alone makes sense against the best teams in the division (on paper anyway), not sure it does on Saturday
