Nope

So why do they both associate with the same far right figures, and attract the same supporters?

And you agree the EDL, Nick Griffin and Nigel Farage are Far Right, so I'm assuming you don't support any of them?

Aghhh guilty by association! Cheers cheese.

So you're saying Tommy has accidentally attracted the wrong supporters? They've misunderstood him?

Some far right support him others don’t. (many EDL ,you know the organisation he left for becoming to far right and many BNP hate him) I know many centre and left who agree with some things he has to say does that make them far right? If he attract supporters from a certain side it doesn’t make him that way.

Are Bolton a  homophobic racist supporting club? As I hear people at the match shouting homophobic racist abuse at players week in week out.

You're comparing a football club who are supported mostly by default, to an individual who is only known because of his political opinions.

I'm assuming you don't support Farage, Nick Griffin, or the EDL?

If you want to support a club that has racist homophobic fans that’s fine I won’t tar you with the same brush as the few idiots that are.

just like them squaddies probably won’t want to be labelled as far right racists because of some of the idiots that follow him are.

As for Farage, griffin and the EDL I don’t support any of them, I may agree with some of their points/policies, like I do with some of labours but I don’t support them. Same with TR.

The ironic thing with the armed forces is for years they have been pushing left values yet a group of lads have a picture with a public figure and they feel the need to investigate.

RW - wasting your time with fromage face I am afraid. He's only in it for the argument and is quite simply nothing but a contrary cunt.

As you rightly said, absolutely ridiculous that there is even a story about a few squaddies having their photo taken with with TR. If I could get fucking Photobucket to work, I would post a photo of two Rangers fans having their photo taken with Gerry Adams at Belfast airport. Does this automatically mean that the two bluenoses have IRA sympathies? Does it fuck.

The whole thing is pathetic but what is worrying is that this PC left wing fucking madness foisted upon on us by sinister little cunts has reached the upper echelons of our military. That is a far more worrying development than a few of our wonderful armed forces lads having their photo taken with, love him or loathe him, an undeniable celebrity/prominent person.

Bang on mate. Your last paragraph is the worrying part. Our armed forces have made a massive push over the last few years to promote left values (gays in the forces, women on the front line/marines (massive no no in my eyes)) yet a dozen young lads have a picture with a public figure and they make a song and dance about it!

Another worrying thing is that it’s the British Muslim council that have highlighted it, an organisation that had memebers saying British armed forces are a legitimate target for jihadists, now our hierarchy are answering to them.

Hight ranking officers being as PC as they can for their own personal gain. Wankers.

Royal; there's an interesting point here- I think, from some of your posts that you have a great disregard for Blair and the gulf war. Not sure if you served in it, but the difficulty for servicemen and women is having to serve in such zones whether they agree or not with the political situation behind it.

Now it would be very interesting to see what would happen if all these individuals, investigated for having a photo taken (apparently), possibly backed up by thousands of others decided to say fuck it, I'm off.

There's more than a hint of control over servicemen, because of perceived political persuasion about this, and that's a very slippery slope.

Obviously there must be some rules of behaviour, but beliefs are perfectly normal, and so long as they don't cross these rules then how can that be wrong, and monitored etc?

Kinell, blokes putting their lives on the line, in having an opinion shocker.

Bit like working in the NHS for me this. You can have whatever opinions you want privately - but be very cautious about what you say or do when you're in uniform.

Can see why the army weren't happy with this photo - especially when they're trying to recruit from all demographics.

Can't vouch for the lads in the picture - but I doubt they thought about it causing a shitstorm. Still not the brightest move if any of them were thinking.

Despite that - not a massive deal - someone should have just had a quiet word with them - but that's not possible in the days of social media.

That's all that will happen, and rightly so. It's nothing more than a bit of naivety, and probably a bit of youthful excitement at meeting a "celebrity".

Are they really current soldiers?

If so we’re fucked if it ever kicks off with Putins mob

They look about 12. Surely it’s a bunch of cadets?

If a group of uniformed armed forces were seen singing "Ohhh Jeremy Corbyn" and singing anti-nuclear weapons folk songs, the reaction of you and others would be very, very different. You will no doubt claim it wouldn't be, but it demonstrably would.

As above, you can hold whatever opinion you like, but your employer doesn't have to allow you to voice it whilst you are in work and representing them.

They’re recruits however what makes you think they would be fucked against Putins mob? It’s highly unlikely they will be going into hand to hand combat.

Yes fully agree mate. Yes I was in Iraq however at the time the majority of the lads, especially the younger ones didn’t have much interest in politics/current affairs and what was really right and wrong. I think the invasion of Iraq and the boom in social media amongst other things have made a lot of people, not just squaddies, have a look at what’s going on in the world.

If another 9/11 Type incident was to to happen and our leaders decided to invade some random country on the back of false allegations I think there would be a lot more o the lads and lasses downing tools and saying fuck this.

If you're going to invade, I'd assume it would be pretty quick after the event and so no time for soldiers to determine whether or not the allegations were false or not

You only have to look at how long the Chilcot enquiry took

Plus if you decide to join the army do you get briefed on all the background as to why, or just told to do it?

I naively thought squaddies were double hard bastards.

That lot look like my nippers netball team could take them.

Depends on what you deem quick, it could possibly take weeks to get logistics sorted giving the squaddies plenty of time to surf the net (something that wasn’t as readily available during Afghan and Iraq) and decide fuck this.

Whenever I went into any theatre we was always briefed as to what was going on (to a certain extent) and most believed it. I would imagine it being completely different now (not the briefings but the believing)
