Would they declare war? It’s not like it been a regular occurrence over the decades has it?

You're saying you would've disobeyed orders if Twitter and Facebook had been around when you were deployed to Afghan/Iraq. I'm just interested in who you would've believed over your own government/superiors? Because there were plenty voicing their objections at the time, but you still followed orders.

You're trying to say that soldiers today wouldn't do what you did because of "social media" ? Bit far fetched, unless you can give an answer instead of another question?

Where did I say I would disobey orders due to social media? You have a habit of telling lies to fit your agenda don’t you?

Im saying social media will have a massive effect, I also said (which you chose to ignore) that I feel governments will be more cautious not to make the same mistakes as they have in the past.

Many soldiers since 9/11 refused to go to Iraq and Afghan. IF there was another pointless war like Iraq there will be a hell of a lot more and social media will play a massive part in that.

The day soldiers get to decide which wars they fight, we can all fcuk it off

There's got to be some down sides to postings to cyprus

Never mind. You know what you said. You're just unable to elaborate on the claims you made because you know they're bollocks.

Yes I do know what I said and it wasn’t what you tried to claim I did!

Your lies are becoming to repetitive and boring.

Ok. No worries mate. I think the last couple of pages in this thread tell a pretty clear story.

Tough question. Would governments make the same mistakes they have in the past knowing the power of social media now? I think there would be numbers never seen before refusing to soldier if they was asked to go into a false war

But yet all you lefties want to annihilate Israel

I'd quite like Israel to stop being dicks but annihilation is a bit far.

My old college mate Yoel who was in the IDF for a good while even after his military service has issues with the way the Israeli government goes about things.

If you want to be seen as the good guy you have to act like it. Both Hamas and the Israeli government fail on this part acting like children in a tit for tat squabble. "he started it Miss!" meanwhile the people who live in the area both Palestinian and Israeli are the ones who suffer.

^ I think most 'lefties' want a two state solution.

Extremists on both sides deny the others right to exist. As it stands no Palestinian state exists so it's the Israeli extremists that are getting their way.

Mick was being ironic fella.

re my rant re the left.....Corbyn being the leader has been to the Al Quds Day march several times in the past.

they make regular calls for the annihilation of Israel...I’ve posted several links before as the absolute proof.

ive opposed the Al Quds march, most recently in June and quite successfully delaying it by 2 hours and 45 minutes.

do folk think it’s ok for them to walk around London with their Hezbollah and Hamas flags ?

silly question really.

As you were guys.

So everyone in the Muslim council of GB should be condemned because of a couple of individuals made offensive comments?

By that rationale, Tommy Robinson, all his supporters and his defenders on here are all ignorant racist numpties.  Fair enough

Ok Clever Clogs.....check out the Muslim Council comment from 2009 when they endorsed attacks on British servicemen and women...

Not an individual or two...but the actual Muslim Council.

Now...when you’ve checked that proven FACT which made all the MSM...will you have the grace to comeback and apologise ?

I’ll be here waiting son.

And here is the proof..

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2009/mar/08/daud-abdullah-gaza-middle-east

and folk wonder why I get vociferous when I’m merely pointing out the full FACTS in front of your very eyes.

One day, you’ll all wake up but it’ll be too late by then.

Charles Martel had the right idea at The Battle of Tours many moons ago.

Forgotten more than the left will ever know.

Stop being an apologist.

I'm not an apologist

But if you're relying on things said nine years ago you're argument starts to look piss weak

Have you ever changed your mind about things in the last nine years?

Have you read the link you posted?

Firstly - it's an individual that has been quoted. NOT the MCB who 'refused to comment'

Secondly - he (& much less they - the MCB) didn't call for attacks on British service men and women.

You could be waiting a while for that apology, er, dad.
