November 9, 200421 yr Just had a phone call, one of our posters off here was killed today TROTTER, most of you will know him as Ferny from Astley Bridge. RIP
November 10, 200421 yr Am absolutely devastated. Never spoke to Ferny but saw him many a time at both home and away games. Only saw him over the weekend up Blackburn Rd too with his friends and living life to the full. Infact, used to see him nearly every weekend up there. He seemed a real genuine guy with time for most if not all people. Though I didnt know him I will miss him dearly and my thoughts are with his family. To Ferny.
November 10, 200421 yr I was in shock last night when I got the call, he will be missed by many. Be a few sad lads at the match on Saturday, but we'll all have a drink for him. To a decent fellow. RIP
November 10, 200421 yr HOW ABOUT GETTING IN TOUCH WITH REEBOK VOICE AND GET HIM TO PLAY ONE OF FERNY'S FAVOURITE TRACKS? JUST A THOUGHT, MIGHT BE OUT OF ORDER?
November 10, 200421 yr As long as I can remember he was at the match....Hopefully he will get a massive send off.
November 10, 200421 yr Well, I don't know the name, but I have no doubt following earlier comments about the guy that I will have stood / sat closeby on a number of occasions. RIP
November 10, 200421 yr i've been looking for the pics with this fellow white on when he was out in portugal can't find em unfortunately anybody else turn them up, because i knew his face, though not his name, as i expect most travellng whites will
November 10, 200421 yr Nice to see he was well thought of by so many others, he has been a close family friend for the last 20 years and will be sorely missed. Article on page 5 Bolton Evening News. A minutes silence is in order. Will pm reebok voice. Will post details of funeral arrangements as soon as i hear, R.I.P Fearny.
November 10, 200421 yr They will never do a minutes silence (even though they should). it would have been nice for something to be put in the programme (just like mr gartside did for the other chap who sadly died on the way home from the corporate do) maybe they won't do it for a "normal" fan (even though he was one of bwfc's most loyal)

November 10, 200421 yr Anybody wishing to go to Fearny's Funeral, Fearny's wishes is that you either wear the Bolton Shirt or England shirt. RIP
November 10, 200421 yr did not know ferny on a personal level, but spent many an away trip in his company in the 80`s & 90`s with finchy and the lads. top Bolton lad. condolence to his wife and family.
November 10, 200421 yr A minutes silence is in order. A top man R.I.P. From All at the Castle. Ste Kitch.
November 10, 200421 yr Spoke to Jay C about the accident today. What a true waste of life. Spoke to Ferny briefly for first time in pub in Manchester before Wales match recently. Always saw his face home and away watching the Whites. Last time I actually saw him was at the end of the Azerbaijan (away) match - the TV cameras focussed on the England contingent, and there, stood next to JTH, was Ferny taking a photo. I agree that the club should honour this guy on Saturday with a minute's silence. They honoured the guy and child who died on way back from Ipswich that time.
November 10, 200421 yr I must have known him from away games over the years without actually realising it; must be summat from all at WW we can chip in for for the funeral or in his memory??
