Ronaldo is a better all round player than Messi. It really is that simple. Ronaldo can play in any team and would improve them.

Messi needs quality players around him.

The Argies were shit in 2014, even though they got to the final. A series of single goal wins, a shit group, virtually on home turf, meh.

and he pretty much got them there on his own, like he did in 2016 and getting them to Russia

hes been poor in the 2 games but the side he is in has gone further backwards since '14 and '16 theyre a shambles

I know you aren’t, but others might say that and not acknowledge how lucky/dogshit Portugal were when they won the Euros

True

both players impact in finals has been minimal, difference is Portugal grabbed a win, Argentina didnt. Easy to define that as a success for Ronaldo over Messi when in fact it was his team mates that won him the honour

I've watched Brazil for almost 2 hours so far in this World Cup,i conclude that they are ponderous, over rated shite.

quite an open tournament it seems

5 or 6 teams who are equally as overrated as each other

Jesus offers nothing outside of poaching a goal

offers nothing outside of poaching a goal

This old chestnut....X is shit apart from scoring goals!!

Sounds stupid but he hasn't done it yet haha. Firmino surely the better option.

Neymar doesn't look 100%.

Neymar hasn't played for a few months due to injury, he's clearly nowhere near full fitness, if it wasn't for the massive sponsorship deals, he wouldn't be playing

Be interesting to see how Germany respond.

If they were to struggle it really does open up.

I'm getting a Croatia dark horse feeling . . .

absolutely, i thought all the bigger names struggling initially was just potentially underestimating their opponents but the teams who have now played 2 so far havent overly impressed again

Spain look the best so far but have hardly been frightening

think Croatia could challenge for the Semi's. However they could now face Germany in the QF's

Surely Brazil will score, chances galore on this 2nd half.

Could be one of those days dids.

CR might just nick something too.

Yeah it's hard to really say now until the groups are finished but things not going to plan all over should mean a few big names will drop before the semis.

I thought Germany or Spain at the start and still feel they are the teams to beat.

France haven't looked good but have easily got results.  Brazil haven't impressed but would cause any teams problems.

England looked very good at the start and feel the last minute win will give them a massive confidence boost.  Wouldn't rule Portugal out either

Having watched every game

I'm very confident of my Spain Outright bet

This match is very frustrating

honestly could be one of 6 or 7 teams

you always get a surprise package but i cant remember a WC where so many have a decent chance? Teams will be watching the games thinking 'we've nothing to fear here'
