June 26, 20188 yr just looking into the last 16 uruguay portugal confirmed and very likely we will have, brazil v germany and france v argentina in the last 16 ace Haven't been impressed with Portugal, could easily have been on 0/1 points out of 3, Morocco were better vs them as were Spain, they weren't great v Iran either Uruguay were poor v Egypt and Saudi Arabia(was the worst game I've seen so far and they only won due to a goalkeeper error) though they did look quite solid vs Russia and haven't conceded, great front 2 and great CB partnership, with Cavani and Suarez getting goals and confidence I see a Uruguay being too much for Portugal. Spain's performance bar a De Gea mistake vs Portugal for me has been the best performance so far, they dominated Iran, but Iran had a couple of chances once they stopped being so negative, Spain scored 2 nice goals vs Morocco and they'll look at individual mistakes yet again that have cost them, was their worst showing. Plenty of negatives for Brazil and Germany, though if Brazil play like they did 2nd half vs Costa Rica they'll be hard to stop.

I'm always wary of teams that win when they don't really deserve to - it's not luck is it when it keeps happening. No-one seems to mention France but they're a bit similar - not great but through with no fuss. They'll only get better

They'll only get better Think a lot were before the tournament tbh, but their 2 games haven't seen anything special, but hardly troubled defensively, one goal conceded from a stupid handball and 6 points and you only need to look at their bench to see they have some real talent.
June 26, 20188 yr There’s people who will have paid high hundreds possibly more to be there, I’m glad they booed. France were my tips before the tournament and they still could reach the very later stages, but they’re one of the least impressive teams I’ve seen in the whole competition so far.

June 26, 20188 yr You only to see Wilbraham v Forest to see what a mood changer moments/goals can have, that goal for Argentina will epitomise that too, their country in relief and celebration, if only for a few days.
