Might be losing this

First game of the series - seems to be the England way. We've had to work quite hard to throw away 2 winning positions this time though

Sam Curran what a knock.......

87/7 to 180 all out.

And Jimmy was untroubled as he didn't face a ball and so ended on his modal score of 0*.

You have a bizarrely high response rate to my posts, always a boring personal attack rather than on topic - how about you just block me if I irritate you so much.

Decent chance to snap our 3 series streak of getting rolled in the first match. We've made so many bad mistakes that to still have a chance suggests we should beat this lot pretty solidly once we start catching and stop running out our best players.

Kohli said post match they were miles off the levels they can be, and they would be very competitive once they got to 85% of their capabilities.

Spine quite well actually, I'd formed the impression he was a bit of a cock.

Looking forward to what could be a tremendous series. Perhaps the tests lasting a bit longer would help but bring it on.

Woakes or Moeen by the looks of it. Nice to see the Malan misadventure is over. Never seen Pope bat but hard to argue with a young player with that sort of record

Poor do dropping someone after the first test of a series

In this case the mistake was ever picking him - he has a 12 year first class career which proves he's not good enough, but they picked him on the back of a good T20I performance and have struggled to get shot of him since. You can call it the start of a series, of you can call it match 3 of 7 this summer, where he's managed a top score of 28 across 3 Test matches. Costing the team 120 runs in the field probably didn't help his cause either...
