All leaves a very bitter taste in my mouth to be honest

whilst from a business perspective I understand the ‘driving the price down’ approach as I’ve said before this isn’t a fucking car they’re haggling over

it’s a football club. Centre piece of a community, steeped in history. People’s livelihoods are at stake. Both players (who aren’t the biggest concern) and other staff who have families, mortgages etc etc

playing Russian roulette with all of that for the sake of saving a million or two - I know it’s easy to say that as it isn’t my money - but it fucking stinks

I wouldn’t roll the red carpet out for anyone who pays so little regard to all that

It’s all just become, well a shame really

Either somebody buys the club from Ken by the 27th

or

Somebody buys the ICI debt, calls Ken’s shares in, he agrees to relinquish them by the 27th and that buyer either enters administration (would be approved if they could prove funds to take them out) or pays off the debt to HMRC.

Unfortunately the power is with Ken still due to the 14 day notice period on the share recall.

If someone was buying the ICI debt why haven't they just done it well before? The 14 days wouldn't be an issue then. None of this would.

Don't take this the wrong way Barry but all of the above is, bar you winning the Euro millions is why you will never be a millionaire

Suppose I’m talking from an emotive perspective. Which no doubt as supporters we all would. Prospective buyers clearly don’t have that association and are running it as any other business which I completely get

another example of the football world becoming nothing more than a business really

all of the things I mentioned are irrelevant which is the Shame

Because certain individuals were only asked to consider the proposal late last month.

This Howard chap has provided more clarity to this situation in a few posts than 3 years of debate on here, twitter and 3,000 chairman’s notes.

Well even so - they've left it a bit late...

Its like palliative care for the sleeping giant our club is before it finally goes to sleep.

The loan only went into default recently so they couldn’t really sell it before then.

Eh?!

Some suggestion that a loan exists on the Madine payment instalments, an advance so full fee recorded in year.

Probably not relevant but I wonder the source.

dont all english transfers need to paid for over 12 months. whereas european transfers can be over the term of the contract?

Looking on the bright side we go into liquidation on Wednesday  I can be a Man City fan by Thursday.  😂

Cardiff isn't English!

Because the other buyer will probably do Ken a deal on £3M he owes them to get him to relinquish the shares before the 27th.

You mean the additional £3m Ken apparently owes Moonshift? It still seems odd to me that Eddie would have lent this to Ken on an unsecured basis.

Why do you think the ST and the BN avoided, avoided and avoided again the money that had to be found to see off Holdsworth and keep Blumarble at bay?

Yeah. Keep schtum, say nowt, turn a blind eye, look the other way, avert gaze, act as if nowt happened. All of that.

It depends now, showing their hand tomorrow would gain a delay to the HMRC case, probably, that’s the only benefit, they would still have to give Ken 14 days notice to find the £5M.

The question is do they want to give Ken more time to haggle/ find another bidder, or do they want to double down the pressure by forcing liquidation proceedings on him?

Howard how would we know whether or not notice has in fact already been given to Ken to find the £5 million ?

Could there be a scenario where that was given a while ago and the clock is already ticking ?

Also given that they hold Kens undated resignation letter as a director of Burnden Leisure does that have any significance in the scheme of things with this 14 day notice period ?

My assumption is that they (ST) were preparing their own bid if admin occurred.  BN will always follow the ST lead.

Yes that scenario could exist, what I don’t know is if that also comes with them withdrawing their permission for him to find a buyer. Upon default he had to seek special dispensation from them to sell, which was initially granted. If they’ve withdrawn that then obviously the whole Basran talk is irrelevant.

I don’t think an undated letter would hold much sway in terms of forcing an early transfer as the 14 days is a legal requirement.

ST preparing their own bid with what exactly? We've all heard about the blind leading the blind but why should the BN 'always follow the ST lead'?

To buy off the Blumarble loan and take control.

Isnt all local media influenced by certain agendas? I didn’t say they should follow, just that they seemed to tow the ST line.

Afternoon all,

I’ve just found this thread after someone mentioned it on Twitter. I’ve just spent the last 2 hours catching up, it’s excellent, very informative and without the childish vitriol that spoils other social media platforms!

Excuse my ignorance, I just have one question - what/who are ST and BN?
