The problem is the guy they've chosen to work with as the public face of their bid has a horrendous record. So their judgment is questionable at best.

I will tell you why a consortium would use Bassini as a front, because it is impossible to smear a man who has already been smeared and his implausibility gives an element of cover. 

Do we know if Bassini actually intends to put himself as chairman or is he just the front/broker for his backers?

Plus, if KA has got his extension,  that probably means he wont pay the players or staff, so more than likely the Ipswich game wont go ahead meaning even more trouble with the EFL. FML

He wont want an extension, he will want the 7 days to run out meaning its too late for his shares to be recalled and we go under.

He gets his money because he is a secured creditor so he is happy and makes more than a sale.
