Iran & Saudi Arabia

Featured Replies

Whilst we all worry about Brexit, Iran are starting to upset pretty much every fucker they can think of.

They've started bombing Saudi oil refineries and the chances of an almighty kick off in the Gulf increase by the day.

On an completely unrelated note, a friend of mine now works at Brize Norton and it’s known down there that every UK Apache helicopter has been loaded onto a transporter plane and sent “some place east” in the last few days. I’m fact, Brize Norton has been busier than Heathrow for a couple of weeks.

Obviously, it could be that we’re shoring up the channel tunnel for the end of next month, but a huge military exercise in the Gulf would certainly draw attention away from domestic matters.

How many apaches have we got and will it need a particularly big ship?

As for Iran, they're pushing the boundaries and I'm thinking this latest attack will be the last straw.

New sanctions again now by USA, whether they will be effective in stopping Iran I'm doubtful.

We are looking for a winter sun holiday and there are some cracking cruise deals around the middle east, now we know why

He reckons about 60 helicopters but I haven’t a clue personally.

They may have gone to Norwich, that’s east.

Its just that the Gulf is getting a bit like a taxi queue on Bank street at 2am in a Sunday morning currently, so something’s afoot.

No doubt. If Iran is to be restrained, then I suppose the necessary equipment needs to be made available. No point in words alone.

Can I ruin the thread please :D

The most dangerous thing Pete Adie has done is drive to the shops on a Sunday in his pyjamas.

He’s our very own WWays Theresa May.

He will be chuckling reading this whilst quaffing copious amounts of red.

I would guess Cyprus.

Mate working in US air base in central Iraq says it is full to capacity when normally run at 25%.

The US has over 600 million barrels of oil buried beneath salt mines in Texas and Louisiana in case of crisis.

There you go, you’ll all sleep well tonight folks.

There are about 60 I've been told  - they fly over my house on a regular basis, it's quite interesting to see, as they fly over "unarmed" and then fly back across a few hours later and appear to be fully loaded. There has been a lot of activity recently that's for sure, also a few chinooks going back and forth as well.....love watching them come over, the noise is brilliant

Chinook flew over here yesterday. Do see one occasionally going in a particular direction. This one was going in a different direction though.

Haha. Very good.

Here's a question, in your experience/knowledge, as oil is extracted from rocks deep beneath the surface, is it possible that the weight of rock etc above starts to bear down and crush any weakened material in the oil zone?
