Perhaps any NATO response should be proportional to the contributions of the Lithuanian Navy and Bulgarian Air Force and others. Their incorporation into the western bloc destabilised the western economy owing to the vast imbalance in living standards. I might be persuaded otherwise if someone can list the positive contributions these eastern European states have made to the EC since joining, if Putin feels he can make more use of them let him have them. The trading relationships are still there, he is selling them the sputnik vaccine for instance.

Also, when at college I worked evenings at the Littlewoods depot in Blackrod, there was a really good work ethic and everyone put a shift in or they were told. Fucking killed me the 1st week but after that it was great, decent set of lads in the main and I was a fit as an ox by the time I had to leave to actually try and pass my exams.

But is this worth risking the lives of British Service Personnel should Putin want to roll his tanks into Bulgaria? I think not, he can have the territory in my book.

Hungary, Slovakia, Austria and the Czech Republic. It doesn’t have EMA approval but it looks like they may take a chance. A huge diplomatic win for Putin.

He's a dangerous cunt for sure, but with things not going so well back at home, I'm not sure how much stomach there is amongst the Russian population for invading other countries.

Show of military strength on borders. The wheel is turning full circle. I sort of get the argument of leaving the Eastern bloc countries to the Ruskies but the poor fuckers have spent a lifetime being a shield between the East and West A really good mate of mine has Ukrainian parents who fled here (ended up in Rochdale the poor sods).
