Not just us either the Norwegian air force scrambled some fighter aircraft earlier in the week, to escort rusky reconnaissance planes.

Are they dropping coronavirus 'bombs' by seeding clouds...

We intercept Russian aircraft on a weekly basis. It's been going on for all of our entire lifetimes.

It's strange how media only picks up on it now and again as if it's a shock occurrence. We scramble Typhoons for this almost daily, same thing goes for Americans scrambling their planes daily out of Alaska for incoming Russians.

Makes for some great photos, if you're into that kind of thing.

Conversely, do we send spy planes that get intercepted as well?

I was roundly dismissed as a crank for suggesting Putin is the biggest threat to peace.

I’m not so sure this virus is his (but never say never), what I am sure is that he will look to capitalise on any weakness, particularly in Europe.

He wants the Baltic’s back. At any price.

They usually only pick up on it when a Typhoon causes a sonic boom. The rest of the time it's a good column filler on a slow news day.

If spy novels can be believed then spying does go on with satellites but I’d be very surprised if we were completely clean in all of this. Goes for the Americans as well.

Indeed, though it seems to be increasing a bit, given the frequency of reports.

 

Don’t be surprised if the one or more of the Baltic states are under Russian control in the next few months.

Europe is at war with a virus and Putin will never get a better chance.

The British army is on standby to protect its citizens from illness and looting. Lithuania being gently taken over is a long way down the priority list now.

I get how they can protect us against looting but illness, not so much,

If it dies in temps above 27 degrees, how the fuck is so bad in Madrid? It shouldn’t even infect a single person on the equator.

Something doesn’t add up.

When I worked at a new waste vitrification plant at Hanford in Washington State, we went on to the site, in one area is a massive concrete basin that contains decommissioned submarine Nuclear cores, when asked how come they are out in the open, we were told it was part of the Nuclear agreement with the Russians, they knew how many subs had be decommissioned , so when the Russian satellite went over they could count them

The human body is warmer but it survives quite well.

Outside it doesn't last too long so don't get this fact.

An interesting aside, a little piece the other day said Moscow hasn't averaged day or night temps below zero this winter. Not sure what that means exactly, but it's certainly a lot warmer than normal.

That’s interesting. I’ve heard things before regarding cooperation between the blocs and read a bit in Berlin about it. Think these are about policing agreements rather than the nefarious stuff. 

I think the Russians will be concentrated on the Saudis at the minute

I was in St Petersburg in December and temp was around minus one or two at best. Little bit of snow here and there 

Locals were saying it was unusually warm and that temps are usually around -15 at that time of year 

Moscow was making fake snow as well
