Did a quick (ish) 3 miler this morning. Blew some cobwebs away. 
 

returned to a call from my boss im not being furloughed and won’t be so at least that’s one worry I can park away 👍🏼

Other benefits aren’t affected I think pal. 
 

My place are saying to folk we will pay you the extra 20% if you burn a weeks holiday which is fair enough I think and gives folk the choice then of a reduced income or use some annual leave. 
 

our senior management couple of levels above me and upwards have all taken unspecified pay cuts and deferred their annual bonuses which were paid to us all last month. Fair play as well for that

Fair play sounds like you work for a decent lot mate, the extra top up for holidays sounds good

Just hard isn’t it regarding holidays how long you give it, hopefully we may have some indication after the weekend on further lockdown timescale

Everyone will want/need a holiday
Everyone on furlough who earns less than £750 a week should in theory have some extra disposable income
Employers need full staff levels and increased productivity

Also depending on how long the travel ban is on for, October half term could be a mad scramble for any family holidays in the workplace

To be honest, not that many get taken before the end of May anyway

Out of 30, ive got 3 who have wives who work at schools

So they will expect to get a yes

Im looking at september for my jollies

And swap my june for a uk break

Did I read summat about the working time directives being changed so that holidays can be carried over into the next 2 years to potentially help with this?

There won't be an October half term this year, according to a couple of headteachers I know.

There's a proposal to re-arrange the calendar to get the kids in school more to make up for the current "time off"
