  • Other benefits aren’t affected I think pal.    My place are saying to folk we will pay you the extra 20% if you burn a weeks holiday which is fair enough I think and gives folk the choice then

  • Can I request it because trying to work from home with 2 kids is giving me a stress induced heart attack!

  • Jesus Take the 80% and be fucking grateful that the system we pay into is coming to the party. It's not like we've all got weekends out/holidays/anything at all extra to pay for. It'll cover

Then you pay tax and ni

But no fuel, so alls good for a few weeks at least

If you're on £3125 a month, take home pay is approx £2420
Furloughed at 80% means £2500 a month, which is £1995 take home.

Furlough take home is 82.5% of normal take home.

£425 a month worse off for not working, but no commuting, no unsociable hours, less outgoings (social etc) etc etc.

Probably little in it.

If you get paid more than £3125 a month, you're capped at £2500

Those on £2500 a month will get £2000

So in theory could a workplace ask you to be only paid 80% by them not the government and that way save 20% or do they have to do it via the government?

They could ask you to take a pay cut

But the government wont be paying it if the employers wants you to continue working during furlough

FUCKING

WOOOOOAAAHHHHH

the £2500 is taxable ???????

No cunt mentioned this little nugget.

Fucks sake.

Pay cut it is then.

I honestly thought it was take home pay to a max of £2.5k.

I can't believe anyone was batshit crazy enough to be paying you over £35k a year anyway.

Looks that way. Can you not furlough the butler?

She could get a cash in hand job picking veg for farmers.

And home school her daughter. That’d be tough. And “abusing” the system.

TUI now furloughing 11,000 of their 13,000 UK employees.

Hopefully retaining all of their customer complaints team!

I’ll just send him back to the zoo.

His roller skates need fixing anyway so maybe it’s serendipity that this is happening.

😂😂😂😂 cheered me up this image greatly cheers pal

There's been some discussion at ours this week about whether to top everyone up, although with us still running to a certain extent it does have it's own issues apart from money.

Yeah, but make him carry on working.

Its very tough

But theres 2 options

Furlough and dont work

Dont furlough

Its causing us issues, as we need to furlough, but theres stuff needs doing

Like you, we need to have a business when we return

I just find it morally wrong to take the govts generous deal, then look for ways to abuse it

£640 per month will just about cover the business overheads (they've been reduced to the minimum). So I'd be left with zero. Its such a generous deal, no seriously, it really is.

Its all riding on this £10K grant that SME's are meant to receive. That will be the game changer for a small business like us.

Now looking into being able to alternate the furlough between two of us in our business. Think it might be 3 weeks on, 3 weeks off. Waiting to find out.

What's £640 a month?

I should be ok to give my missus the occasional punch up the whiskers during this madness, but I won’t be doing it sober.
