In effect blaming the EFL for losing a club by their actions. Why should the EFL take that into account? we were in the same boat 12 months ago, doesn't make a scrap of difference, they are fucked.

August 1, 20206 yr 1 minute ago, Casino said: Is it for ffp? Yeah. If they didn’t sell the stadium they would have made a losses of about 60m over 3 years and can only lose £40m over three years, so I suppose that’s a breach of FFP
August 1, 20206 yr My understanding is that there are rules about insolvency and administration which is what Wigan have done. The rule for that is a 12 point deduction, when that occurs is also a rule but because of covid the EFL had to decide when it should happen for Wigan. Presumably based loosely on the existing rules. Sheff Wed were being investigated for breach of ffp rules. I don't know if there are hard and fast rules around this in terms of what the punishment should be and crucially when it should happen.

If they didn’t sell the stadium they would have made a losses of about 60m over 3 years and can only lose £40m over three years, so I suppose that’s a breach of FFP The stadium has been sold massively ahead of market value like double and derby and even worse. Think their owner paid 90m for the ground. Which is silly and unrealistic.
August 1, 20206 yr It goes to an independent panel and they decide when the points deduction comes into force. Could have been this season or next, guess they tossed a coin and when it came up heads to take it off this season they had best 2 out of 3 so next season won.
August 1, 20206 yr derby, reading and villa did the same, so i expect them to be treated the same way
August 1, 20206 yr Wednesday was more about which years accounts they appeared on and when the money was moved rather than the fact they sold their stadium.
