Looks like the away end will have something approaching a roof though so that’s a bonus.

Owt to stop a cold wind blowing round in the depths of Winter.

Just had a couple of nights in Grange over sands, lovely little place on the lancs Cumbrian border, on the coast overlooking Morecambe bay.

Anyway was enjoying a Guinness at a little place overlooking the bay, and the train tracks near to the quaint little train station.

Suddenly struck me. These trains run between barrow in Furness an Manchester airport direct every hour, calling at a pretty little fishing village on the croal called Bolton, an all places in-between.

Utter carnage!!!!!!

It doesn't go direct to Bolton, a change at Preston is needed. It's an easy place to get to all the same

I’ve changed at Lancaster before.

Ulverston is a drinker’s paradise.

As is Lancaster.

Correct, on both accounts.

Couple of nice big boozers at Arnside on that line to Barrow too.

Some places mentioned which I've been told are very decent but I dont really know that neck of the woods at all.

I think a summer reccy is in order

Train ride is stunning after Lancaster.

Worth a full day with stop offs.

Give us a shout if there's a reccy going on. I'll jump on at Carnforth.

Stayed at a nice place in burnside few years ago

sounds like a reet good day out train & pubs

Couple of pubs near the ground but doubt away fans will be allowed in especially the number rocking up for us .

Had a few sessions in carnforth whilst at uni. Can't remember too much about the boozers though. :)

From the back waters of Macedonia to the back waters of fishing towns in the extreme northwest of England in the matter of a few years.

Dont think life will ever be dull watching the wanderers :)
