It's that match v Darlington (5/11/86?). What it would have looked like if everyone who claims to have been there, really was.

I don't think it's Italy.
My logic is that it's not a footballing hotbed, hence there being so many people trying to get a glimpse of England.

So, I'm going Mediterranean-ish areas like Cyprus, Egypt, Algeria, Tunisia, Malta type places.

It looks far from concrete enough to be belgrade, too

Having had another butchers & noticing the art-deco type building in the background I now think it could be an ex- French colony such as Morocco or Tunisia

the last in this series of grounds with flats right next to them is this

they might not actually be flats, but whatever

it's England away

First thoughts - looks like the old away end Roker so will guess with that

Great photo

I remember a scoreboard like at Cov in the mid 80s when we played them in the cup so I’ll go with that

Forest were one of the very first to have a digital scoreboard on an open end.

But its St James' park

Changed my mind. Newcastle

I'm thinking Bournemouth had a big board like that, but unless the pic is taken from the very front of the terrace the ground would be far bigger than Bournemouth's

I thought Newcastle but that's been discounted.

Notts County 🤔

Resorted to looking at the league tables now for inspiration

Ayresome Park?
