Would depend upon the stomach of disenfranchised Russian regulars of course, but sheer weight of numbers would sway the contest. However, it would still be a major headache, and a boon for Ukraine. Can't see it happening though now.

Too slow mate, US have obviously given the most but let's be honest they have only given a tiny percentage of their budget. Plus they include armaments that would be chucked anyway as obsolete. Yet obsolete stuff is absolutely smashing them to pieces.

I can understand it though, nobody is wanting to give them their most cutting edge stuff for fear of it falling into Russian hands. Even the F-16's they're getting aren't top of the range, or being sent with their most capable sensors and weapons. They're far from being some sort of game changer that they're being portrayed as.

Agreed to an extent, but to make them truly effective they need to be used in conjunction with a lot of other types of aircraft that they don't have. Russia has a massive long range missile advantage that the F-16 can't counter and will be vulnerable to. I still don't see where all this ends. Don't get the sense Putin has been significantly weakened by all this, he's probably very confident of being able to ride things out until the rest of the world gets war fatigue.
August 26, 20232 yr Russia has lost a hell of a lot of equipment, and I read one article saying they're struggling to manufacture new stuff because of supply issues (sanctions), so are likely to be getting less than top whack stuff from supportive nations. Of course Ukraine's f16s etc might not be the very best spec, but I'm sure they'll be fairly effective nonetheless.

I believe they are short on stocks and materials for ground attack weapons but their air to air stuff is plentiful and far out ranges the version of AMRAAM that Ukraine would get with their F-16s. I'm the biggest F-16 fanboy going and they will be useful for some things in this particular scenario but if they're denied access to the best weapons and tactics for fear of losing them to Russia then their impact might be quite limited. That's probably why they've been stalling on supplying them for so long.
