There is a lot more to come from this. You don't just humiliate Putin on video multiple times, march to the outskirts of Moscow, then say "Oh, we've decided to change our minds so nobody gets hurt". Prigozhin must know either his days are numbered, or Putin's are.

This is the most bizarre, pointless of wars. Making it up as they go along. And a longer war was/is suiting Russia, so why this gigantic spanner in the works? Do Wagner just go back to the front and crack on again?

I always just went with the thought that despite the madness and futility of the war they were fighting, that at least it was against the backdrop of a not completely nonsensical overall doctrine. Now I'm not so sure, we could genuinely be in a shooting war with this lot before long, a situation I could never see in a million years right at the start of this.
