A bit unfair that- he didn't withdraw assistance, he initially refused to allow it.

And as for "us", again it's a private company, and not a British one.

In times if war, we can commandeer things and requisition companies here to make things for the war effort. 

Couldn't do anything with Musk's lot.

I'd think if we, as the UK, had to rely on space Karen to win a war we don't deserve to win the war.

I think nationalise is the word being used. Good luck with that. The richest guy on the planet probably has more power and influence than Biden.

Hmm, we commandeered ships in the Falklands conflict.

Nationalisation would be a step beyond if required. 

In the event of a major conflict, should his nation decide such a route is necessary, then he isn't going to have much of an option. Especially if troops turn up on site as necessary.

Yep. We are talking USA here though, different times and technology not only equipment. I agree with what should happen, how that’s achieved is difficult to predict. 

SpaceX is building Starshield for the US Gov that would be under their control.

Once the US complained and threatened to cut off funding, he reversed his decision and extended coverage.

Doesn’t need to be in times of war. A lad who worked for my dad invented a box of electronics to go between phone and phone socket as an interface and which scrambled and unscrambled voice comms at each end of a telephone call. He sent it to the patent office and followed all correct procedures. Some time later a civil servant from the MOD visited and pretty much said, “Thanks. This is just what we needed. Destroy all development plans, give us the finished plans and say nothing to anyone.”

And that was it. No financial compensation of anything.

It doesn’t seem to be going well for Putin. Previous allies who could or would become opponents. First Prigozhin, now Kradyrov. It’s all falling apart.

Lots of stuff on Twitter etc saying Kadyrov is dead, what a shame!

Whilst the world's eyes have been on Gaza, things have been hotting up in Ukraine with the Russkis throwing the kitchen sink at trying to take Avdiivka and suffering incredible losses.

Yesterday alone they allegedly lost 1380 men +55 tanks +120 APVs +29 artillery systems +4 MLRS +8 UAVs +1 cruise missile. Meanwhile the Ukranians have managed to get two companies across the Dnieper and are causing chaos to Russian supply lines.

They have received some ATCMS and are hitting Russki targets but where the hell are the F15s? Russians still controlling the skies.

Sixty percent of America's "aid budget" stays in America spent on producing American weapons for export, warehousing, logistics etc so Biden is using it to boost the American economy - whereas some EU partners are trying to set up production in Ukraine which will boost Ukraine's economy. All the support is appreciated of course.

Interesting approaches, so long as it gets to Ukraine though.

Was in a militaria shop the other day- my lad collects stuff- and we were chatting to the chap there.

Remarkable efforts when it kicked off- they even had a few independent ukrainian lads visit, and effectively clear the place of clothing etc.

Trucks collecting more stuff, and they struggle to get new stuff in as the mod is gobbling it up and sending it out there.

There were reports this week that Putin had a heart attack. It was pointed out that it was impossible as he didn’t have a heart. They said it was also impossible for him to have a stroke.

I nicked it off twitter.

Still rumours about his demise but I thought this was funny.
