Not missed anything my friend.  Didn’t think I needed to spell anything out….but for reassurance my tone hasn’t shifted on anything (wrt Israel/Gaza), and I’m equally appalled by any atrocity committed globally by any armed group on innocent civilians…..(as Cheese says we can debate those in other threads if needed).

You have. TMGJ is asking why are folk so more invested in this war than others.

1) I like to highlight people’s lies. (Hence I engage with you quite a lot).

2) I have a little bit of experience in hostile countries so try and give a tiny bit of perspective from my side.

3) now can you address @Tonge moor green jacket point?

Because, rightly or wrongly, along with Russia/Ukraine, it’s attracting most global media reporting. If Hamas and the IDF were at it hammer and tongues then I wouldn’t be as bothered tbh - that’s war. It’s the civilian atrocities (on both sides) that’s outrageous.

We can start a thread on (eg) Myanmar if you want - I prob need educating more but from what I can gather (and see on the news periodically) that’s gone to pot after the military coup in 2021 and resulting civil war.  Awful crimes have committed by the army against civilians, although rebel groups aren’t unblemished.  The Rohingya minority seem to be continually persecuted by all.

What’s the saying?….Evil triumphs when good people say/do nothing and all that.  That’s why I keep banging on about stuff like this.

So the reason you’re more invested it’s because it’s on the news more. Phew we got there.

If it’s civilian atrocities you’re bothered about then take a look at Sudan, if it’s real famines (not ones people make up on here for likes) then also look at Sudan.

Wow. Just wow. Says it all really.  In which case no point in any more discussion with you on this thread.  I should have realised about 100 pages back.

Then for what reason would someone post there was a famine then?

IDF reported that they had eliminated Mohammed Sinwar. He was the Hamas military head (they killed his brother last year) and was killed alongside Mohammad Shabaneh, commander of Hamas Rafah Brigade, and Mahdi Quara, commander of Hamas South Khan Yunis Battalion.
The were killed in a strike on a Command Centre located under the
European Hospital.

Edit.

This was reported after the strike on the 13th but only confirmed yesterday.

Hamas, hiding amongst civilians in a hospital? I’m not having that 🙄

Bonkers isn’t it

Now you’ve got to have spent more time criticising other conflicts… otherwise it’s odd & you’re only focusing on Jews behaving badly…

Such a ridiculous logic

Strangest part of it all for me, is why so many seem to get so worked up and "invested" in this conflict, yet barely a whisper about the numerous others the world over.

Ukraine does get some coverage, obviously, but even that is far less than this.

it's because there's no debate to be had about what is going on in Ukraine, everyone can see it, clear as day, no discussion to be had - Russia are the cunts

the war in Israel is totally different, so far as I can see, regards any other conflict in the world because

I find it strange that this is a conflict where folk are seemingly happy to accept and defend what Israel are doing, and are convinced there is justification for it, because I doubt they'd defend any other country who went down the same route - and many that do defend them, have convinced themselves if you are against one "side", you are in support of the other

Israel are technically meant to be at war with Hamas, but they are indiscriminately laying destruction across all of Gaza and taking eveyone with it

it's not a war with two sides, good fighting bad, it's a war of ideology and religion, both sides think they are the good guys and in the right, so do what they can to kill anyone and everyone on the other side

Some folk, who aren't tied to either side through religion, are able to condemn both sides for what they're doing

Others, for some reason, are backing Israel and see support for Palestine as support for Hamas, which it must definitely isn't

Its strange to back or defend a side in this if you've no connection to that side

And that's why it gets talked about so much, when other conflicts seem to go with little attention

Because it stirs strong opposing opinions on what's acceptable and what isn't

Imo

Fwiw I believe the IDF on this one. You can understand the need to target high ranking members & the sad reality that innocents will be caught up.

Nobody expected Israel to seek revenge without any other casualties. Nobody on here has disputed Israel’s right to self defence & the unfortunate reality that some civilians will be killed.

The issue isn’t that they have killed high ranking Hamas members.

It’s the evidence of them wiping out entire families where no link to Hamas exists.

It’s the dozens of innocents killed just to get a low ranking Hamas member.

It’s the widespread disgusting behaviour of IDF soldiers whilst moving through Gaza.

It’s the deliberate targeting of aid workers, paramedics & journalists.

It’s the open commitment to taking Gaza for themselves & moving settlements back in.

It’s the imprisonment of children with no right to a fair trial.

It’s the continued ethnic cleansing in the West Bank and illegal settlements funded by the government.

The list could go on… but you get my point I’m sure 🙂

Mate, you do yourself a deservice, you are the beacon of utter guff. A lighthouse of shit, if you will.

If RW is wanging on about something, it's probably best to ignore.

If you could highlight my lies that would be fantastic.

As for You constantly telling people to ignore me whilst continuing to engage in conversation is a bit odd. Yet expected

Your just general poor understanding, your dismissive attitude, your lack of wider knowledge always makes you come across as a bit dim and a try hard.

Why do you feel the need to say people aren't well if they just disagree with you?

Not really, I was just asking why you feel it's ok to say folk aren't well, just when they might disagree with you.

It sounds a bit needy, it also comes across as a desperate need to always be right, which psychologically isn't great.

“It’s probably best to ignore” before I mentioned you not being well.

I only suggest that if you decide to go on your little circular arguments.

I was just interested in why you feel people who disagree with you are unwell in some way. Just an interesting trope.

Nope, I’m saying  you’re unwell because you continually tell people to ignore me whilst engaging in conversation with me.  I think that’s 3 times he mentioned it now. It’s not normal behaviour.
