Chris Cornell for the males.

Loads of them hit that spot in my memory, been so blessed with such talented female singers from the UK.

US... Aretha Franklin or Witney

UK... Dusty Springfield or Shirley Bassey

For the lads... Tom Jones or Paul Rogers, can't think of anyone other than Jack Jones for the US

Oops... Elvis

Motown has some belters. Diana Ross as a voice is amazing. She's a bit of a cunt though.

Marvin Gaye, again voice is superb

Karen Carpenter for the female.

No need to try and break windows; just let it flow effortlessly.

Another Dusty fan here. Amy Winehouse too.

Take a look at a young Wigan girl called Lucy Thomas. I think she’s about 17 years old and has a cracking voice.

Here she makes Eva Cassidy’s version of Somewhere Over the Rainbow her own.

If there’s a better voice than Otis Redding or Etta James or Ella Fitzgerald I’ll show my arse

Al Green.

Lady Ga Ga in A Star is Born.

Lulu

Did you just describe Bolton Blondie’s lady garden as a classic wormhole?
