What a great idea LW.

Now what tickets are you after? 😀

I'm after a wigan one for daughter.  (Seems a fair swap.)

2 Wigan needed.

Thought:

I don't have a ST anymore, I used to buy a couple and share them with my family but for various reasons (mainly health related) me and the missus are the only ones able to go to matches these days. Hence no STs.

How transferable are modern STs? Can I buy the use of a couple of STs when they're not required? That way I get better seats than if I brought match day tickets.

Also maybe a "booking fee" should go to Happy

I have a spare Wigan ticket if anyone wants to meet me at ground on Tuesday let me know!

Modern ST's are simply QR codes you save to your phone.

Anyone can send anyone else a screenshot of said QR code, enabling you to use someone else's ticket.
I've shared mine with several people for a good while now.

There’s obviously a tale to be told. I was probably here when any wrong-doing was done but may require a memory jogger.

There lies my problems with the modern world... Q Codes are a mystery to me, I have a "smart" phone but it is a work issue/number and I switch it off when not working because they would perpetually myther me. My personal phone is a brick and my wife hates mobile phones.

Get a cheap/second hand smart phone. Install requisite app.

Download tickets as required.

Sorted.

What exactly is an app and how do I download such a thing?

I had an NHS one on my work phone but it a site manager set that up for me

All the functions are governed by apps.

If you look at your settings- then apps you can see what is already there.

To download a new one, go online and type its name, or use the play store app already installed to access it.

Yeah, I suspect we won't be seeing Dimron at a home game any time soon

I'll slip the bloke on the turnstile a tenner and jump over.

Definitely coming over soon so watch out 🙂

You can print off the email if you’re buying any match tickets tbf.

On your original post, get in touch with the community trust as I think there were murmurings of such a scheme?

Just come up, buy a ticket in the shop, then ask them (or a fellow fan) to sort your phone for you.

Do you know how to look at a photo or a message on your phone?

If so, that's all you need to be able to do.

I'm probably a daft old cunt but I'll do the necessary to reach my objective.

Might have to go and send the site manager who loaded my NHS app to go and get me a new phone (he used to play for Cambridge on the right wing so he'll understand)

Someone on here may have an old one knocking about that they don't use.

Or use your works one- only need to switch it on to buy tickets and then to show turnstile operator.

Turn it off immediately afterwards.

Turned it on once on Christmas morning naively thinking I might get some festive calls or texts... instead I got a joiner telling me I had short changed his wages

Tbf you shouldn’t have short changed him, especially at Crimbo 😉
