I don't think a negative test will be removed as an option. They may reduce the window in which it can be taken though- maybe morning of the game.

My point is, we can all think of great reasons not to attend or we can all think of great reasons to attend. 

Blaming the club on a government dictat seems a little strange though, particularly as the ruling could eventually leave you with little to do if you continue to swim against the tide.

They've already removed natural immunity following a positive PCR from the domestic vax pass so it won't be long until they remove LFD I would have thought.

But 'natural immunity' is not a given following a positive PCR  it is right it should be removed untill it is proven.

Lateral Flow tests should only be accepted if they've been done and/or verified by a third party. The home self-test isn't worth anything as proof IMO.

And is that an option? No it's not. 

Even though following pcr you can get a finger prick antibody test sent in the post by the NHS

Wife's lot and many others there use the kits to test for it at work, twice a week. 

It's been very successful- the odd positive picked up and each one later confirmed by pcr.

Definitely helped keep the teams available by preventing work place spread.

Nothing is perfect, but they do help us to keep society functioning, even if it's not at full tilt.

I think we're possibly talking at crossed purposes here.

I'm referring to needing a vax certificate or negative LFT to attend a game and I'm saying the LFT shouldn't be accepted unless it's a verified one.

Not sure how else to do it- a third party means cost.

The only way to be fully confident would be to test at the ground. Then folk would have to isolate from each other until the negative result is achieved. 

In the end they have to hope that most people are honest and accurate. Either that or just stop football for a while.

Yeah, just have no rules and let people's common sense decide whether they attend or not.

What I meant is untill it is proven that anti bodies are a strong enough protection ( ie what level you need to be safe).

I just keep going to ehyvwoukd the Govt put all these restrictions in place if they were not needed. Boris would have a much easier life without them

I'm under no illusion it's about getting vaccine hesitant folk to have a jab.

Folks wouldn’t be finding excuses not to go if we were top of the league and winning every week.

Not yet, this conversation was borne out of them potentially removing proof of negative LFDs as one of the criteria. 

That would make it jabs only as natural immunity is already gone from the domestic pass... But remains on the international pass.

Much like the jab it would seem! 

Lancet has it down as anything from 3 to 61 months in one study for natural immunity. Vax pass has an arbitrary 6 months. 

Whole thing for vax pass is utterly bollocks.

but if youve had 3 jabs and take an LFT youve done everything asked of you

folk who want to rely on a risk assessment want their cake and eat it
