You know me and my views mate and how we equally agree and disagree on stuff I’ll give you something to consider. It’s in no way a direct comparison and shouldn’t be taken as such but is worth a thought or two as it’s an area of great interest for both of us Mid to late 70s and the emergence of ska and reggae into the music scene and the crossover with bands such as The Clash. The energy and drive against racism from that scene (that followed on from Northern Soul). The contempt that was felt towards the older voices of black disco music who were seen to be conforming. They were quite vocal in saying that the older heads represented nothing and shouldn’t be given air time. I agreed then and don’t have a problem with what Lewis is saying now as such. You may agree or disagree with me at will. Just something for your thoughts….

Also, he mentioned the older voices as it had been two particular F1 dinosaurs who have used racist and offensive comments and slurs this past week. That's not cricket and those are the people he was talking about. He isn't on his soap box at all, just commenting on what reporters ask him in interviews. What is it he has said you disagree with?

Absolutely no problem with most that you have said and, as for the historical bits, like you - I was there! Always had a preference for soul and ska and (here we go, a gimme for the 'I've got a black friend' wankers) visited such places as the Ebony Club with West Indian and mixed race (don't say HC FFS!) lads I spent a fair slice of my formative years with going to football and (soul and ska playing) night clubs etc. I have a theory that all these snowflakes who shout the loudest about 'racism' are actually wrestling with their own consciences. In their dark depths, they have these thoughts and screaming the 'r' word at every opportunity is a form of suppression or sanctification. There are others, I believe that are like me, who just accept and don't really think that anyone's skin colour makes a blind bit of difference. Before the Walshaw warrior steams in with a typically glib 'you just don't like brown skin' type comment relating to my distrust of Islam, yes, I agree, I am bigoted when it comes to that particular subject - with ample justification if we want to get back to discussing terrorist atrocities. Having said all of that, I still want Max Verstappen and the Ferrari drivers to keep a hypocrite off the podium. In the light of his age discrimination, I would also like to see the right to vote age rise to 40.
