And this for me is where social media echo chambers play a role. Groups of people absolutely sure they are right about everything being fed only details and information that entirely supports everything they think. And when they occasionally bob up for air somewhere else and are told something different it’s natural to say ‘no that’s wrong it’s bias’. The problem I think is most people lack the time, intelligence and resources to really reflect on what they are being told and consider whether maybe it’s the full story or not. And in todays age that’s very dangerous. See as an example the communities who voted for ‘independent’ pro Gaza candidates caused on what appears to be huge amounts of misinformation spread by WhatsApp and social media.

Even if it’s just to count how many Daves, Jonnys and Steves are there compared with the number of Mohammeds, Alis and Mustaffas. From watching the videos from across the country the trouble in Bolton seems relatively minor. No looting, setting buildings on fire etc etc As I say glad BBC called out the escalation was driven by a group of apparently Muslim lads (based on their appearance and what they were shouting for the pedantic amongst us) Has there been any more trouble not yet reported.

Spot on Interesting that when I asked people on here where they get their news (after they’d criticised MSM) that they had no answer. BBC & the like don’t get everything right. But they still far more reliable & balanced than the folk you see spreading shite on social media & YouTube. Interestingly TRs recent documentary is a perfect example of when MSM gets it wrong. And they need to do more to rectify these mistakes. But on the whole they are far more balanced than those with an agenda. TR spends most the documentary explaining that he’s here because we all need to hear the truth, whilst omitting a lot of important information from the documentary that doesn’t quite fit his agenda. Funny that. No wonder the court rejected his evidence. Moral of the whole story - don’t go after children after a playground scuffle to push your own warped agenda . And that applies to TR, MSM & local Muslims. All of which hijacked the whole thing. And if you are a grown man, going after a child. Expect them to come for you in court 😁 Edited August 5, 20242 yr by London Wanderer
August 5, 20242 yr Muslims who attacked the police a week ago are still bailed I believe. Allegedly bail not being granted for the “rioters”. Edited August 5, 20242 yr by captainmed

Some prick storming Lush or Greggs and walking out with a grinning face is pretty open and shut case.

We can give @Cheese his moment no ? It's why we get so annoyed when we feel it hasn't be distributed. I was absolutely delighted to read about Anjem Choudary 'squirming in his seat and looking visibly shocked' at his life sentence. And it will be lovely to hear of people sitting in shock as they get a tough sentence for trying to set fire to a hotel full of migrants. Don't you agree?

You're going to need to give a bit more information here before you cry 'one rule for them, one for us'. Or better still, just send the source you read it from. Especially as the events were over a week apart. How long were the Muslim fella's held for after their arrest? Many of the rioters may still be being held until charged, then will likely be released on bail.

Unless you were being ironic ? Did not think you had such subtle humour in there.

August 5, 20242 yr Let's imagine Farage became Prime Minister one day. Has he ever said what he'd actually do to "integrate" immigrants and reunite "fractured communities"? Edited August 5, 20242 yr by Cheese

The far right racist hooligan 😉 Isn't immigration in the news all the time though and being discussed regularly in parliament? Not sure that these 'howls of condemnation' are as loud as Nigel says there are. He's certainly got his platform. I guess the point he's making is that it's harder to discuss 'integration'. But I see people discussing it all the time. As for the 'soft BLM policing'. There were 135 arrests across the UK on the weekend of the biggest protests. Priti Patel said more than 137,500 people attended the mostly "peaceful" protests, but a "lawless minority of protesters" turned to violence.“ The thugs and criminals responsible are already being brought to justice." It's hardly like they were doing nothing. Doesn't sound that soft really, especially as the govn then introduced a harsher policing bill afterwards. Interesting that Farage conveniently stops short of criticising his own MPs and party members for disclosing locations of asylum seeker hotels. Also disappointing that whilst he condemns the violence, he doesn't directly condemn the violence directed towards asylum seekers and their accommodation. Anyway, there was a big debate post GFs murder and the BLM protests about how prevalent racism was in UK society. It has certainly reared its ugly head again now.

August 5, 20242 yr Farage is the problem. You can’t have an honest debate about immigration because of people exactly like him. Telling people that when we leave the EU we won’t have any more immigration problems. Standing in front a poster of brown looking immigrants suggesting that if we don’t leave the EU all these people will flood in. Hes the issue. It was pointed out that none of this was true in advance, and that is of course the case. If you want a proper discussion about it, the numbers we need, why they are so high and what can be done to help communities then people like him are the barrier.

No because there was more that happened before the video, you voted to take back control and run our own system, this is exactly what is happening. A full and proper investigation. There is also the copper to consider if you charge one side you have to charge the other. I personally think he deserves everything to be properly investigated so if he faces charges he gets a fair trial, is that not common sense and the British values we talk about ? As per my reply to Casino on 'excusing' the Muslims you can not apply logic and rules only when it suits.

Anyhow severity of the incident at the airport and the chances of them skipping bail would lead me to not bail them… the Greggs fella should be bailed it’s a much less serious case and he ain’t gonna catch a flight to Karachi to skip justice. It’s clear to me and many others it’s one rule for them and another for the whiteys.
